It's good to see such upstanding citizens show their support by setting a good example for other McCain supporters.
These two fine young men were motivating pedestrians by reminding us that "only faggots and butt fucking queers" would vote for Obama.
When this fine example of a proponent of free speech noticed my wish to preserve this moment, he ran straight to my apartment and informed me that he would "beat the living shit out of me" if he caught me filming him again. I was so impressed with their passion to preserve my rights and freedom that I called the cops over. (they said they'd stop by)
These suppoters are so passionate about their candidate, they are putting their offices in counties next their own. (this office appears to be in franklin county, not essex)
it's too bad I didn't get video.
in all its non-glory!
The gift bag is 1970's looking to me, and the "tissue paper" is an old newspaper page (circa 2007) with a headline about NASCAR.
June 22, 1996. A dozen members of a self-anointed and unwelcome KKK group came to Ann Arbor to hold a thumb-in-your-eye rally at City Hall. A protest group, the National Women's Rights Organizations Coalition (NWROC) formed to oppose them. After the rage had been mounting for awhile, this simpleminded redneck wandered up, wearing a Confederate-flag T-shirt and drinking a bottle of Lipton tea. The crowd tore off after him, he fell, and the mob pounced, striking for blood. Keshia Thomas, horrified, threw herself over him to stave off the angry blows. Moments earlier, Thomas, 18, had been in the NWROC group, shouting at the KKK. It was a heroic and passionate moment in a crazy afternoon, well captured in these photographs.
In a story in People Magazine, Thomas was quoted as saying, "You don't beat a man up because he doesn't believe the same things you do. He's still somebody's child."
The guy never dropped his tea bottle . . . .
(He was later identified as one Albert McKeel, Jr.)
Though empty now, that set up has been used to carry several of those barrels when full of home heating oil...
OK so I had an extra HD night vision security camera for a spare to my security cam system, old construction hardhat, and some video goggles from a few years back, and thought about combining them into a cheap set of night vision goggles. Other than the camera having IR leds that animals could pickup on, the ability to see in the dark is amazing. Next I will have to play with different lenses on the CCTV camera. Right now it has a 3.6 mm lens and may try a 6mm next to bring the image closer.
Felt awesome to see clear focused imaging without the need for my prescription glasses as well.
I ganked this refridgerator from a neighbor's trash, drilled a hole in the side and put a beer keg in it. It has worked fine for a good ten years now. A keg lasts me about six weeks.
I love this guy I saw him on robie st. once and he had on an undershirt with tight black denims and pointy black boots. Plus the Elvis hair. When J saw this one when we were setting up my last show he recognized him and said he had seen him one night walking home at 2 in the morning through a basement window on agricola. apparently this man was laying back on a bed smoking while a sexyish hard ticket middle aged woman jumped on the same bed. J said there was elvis memorabilia all over this guy's room. pretty neat.
