Poppy was a surprisingly confident fox cub who lived in the neighbourhood in summer 2022. She would follow us around like a dog and would sneak into the house to eat cat food. She also tried to play with our cats but they were not amused.

We did not encourage this behaviour at all and tried to discourage her, but she kept coming back.

She was also affectionately known as "Popsy", "Popsy-Cola", "Popsy Fopsy" and "Pops".

Watching me as I walked through the woods mid morning. I couldn't see any cubs but I think there must be some nearby.

One of the mammalian visitors to this hide in the hills near El Escorial, Madrid.

Kits were out last night wanting their pictures taken............what a show they put on too.

Even luckier when he turned and trotted towards me.

After a very cold 4 and a half hour wait, my target species for today finally arrived.

Its always a pleasure to see the Fox, and an extra bonus to be able to photograph it.

Was it worth the wait in the cold? Of course it was! :-)
