Two fox kits play on the tundra on Alaska's north slope. The fox on the left was napping when the other fox snuck up on it. As it pounced, the other fox rolled to it's side and the fight was on!
So yesterday when I had the dog outside a fox came around the corner of the house and stopped. it looked at us for a minute and went back around the corner. It had been months since I have seen one and it was a reminder to always have a camera ready.
having had the opportunity to spend the morning with this fox kit was a highlight. Such cute little creatures.
A visit to the wood recycling pile is greeted by a local red fox that quickly found a mouse and ran away to eat it. My first fox encounter with the new camera!
That wet spot on ice in front of the pup, is where its mom scrambled out of the water, after that thin ice broke off, when she jumped across the river to the other side.
The pup was curious and it circled around and crossed in a spot where the ice was frozen all the way across.
Smart pup. ;- )
Then, it came down and checked out the spot where
mom, had decided to jump across.
Something she often does.
Sh is a good jumper.
But, this time the thin ice broke and she ended up in the water.
From which she quickly scrambled out.

I haven't had time to check through them all.

Yes, I do have a heavy "tigger finger".
Always, did even when shooting film.
Taken on Friday the 13th., no, less! :-)
Anyway, after a quick look, it looks like there are some fairly good shots.
So, I am pleased with yesterday's results.
