It's amazing what you find when you do a bit of spring cleaning of your old files.
RED FILTER: especially effective for increasing contrast. Ideal for dramatic cloud effects in landscapes. Can also be applied creatively in color and infrared photography.

So I really liked this shot...it was the only one that came out with pretty good focus, and sharpness on each of the petals. Also, I was able to get the colour right. I can never take good pictures of red flowers. I played around with it a bit on Lightroom. I'm a little afraid to jump into Photoshop for editing pictures, because I want to perfect my skills in Lightroom before completely switching over.
I keep learning new things everyday on Lightroom, and then I realize I can use those to process pictures I've taken in the past...that's usually how my day goes along. Lol.
Here's to roses - the most enthralling flowers...seeing them always puts a smile on your face :-)

While I've been recuperating, friends and family have stopped by bringing all sorts of goodies, including flowers, fruit, and other foods. Most know that these will brighten my day in all sorts of ways. The fruit, for instance, is as much fun to photograph as it is to eat.
The Red Arrows never fail to impress no matter how many times you've seen them before. Here the famous red Hawks go through their routine at the annual Southport Air Show.
