Red Moyen Poodle puppy at 8 1/2 weeks (57 days).

Moyen poodles are medium size poodles - between a Miniature and Standard poodle. When mature, Moyen poodles should stand 14 to 18 inches at the shoulders and weight 20-30 pounds. The breed was founded four hundred years ago in western Europe.

The trouble with a rangefinder is close focus when out and about, I was quite left out in the butterfly house and had to mainly content myself with the plants, knew I should have packed the Visoflex, next time perhaps.

Red Squirrel in the wild at Loweswater in the English Lake District.

Went to Gigrin Farm ten days ago. The weather wasn't wonderful but on the two days I visited I managed a few reasonable shots. It was certainly a spectacular sight, with upwards of 250 Red Kites coming in to feed.

Beautiful red flower heads

Jessi Arrington organized the World's Largest Rainbow Parade that marched over the Brooklyn Bridge on April 28th, 2012. Ella, her friends Lena, Talia, Jacki and I were there to represent R-E-D!

Red Red Red

I don't understand about complimentary colors

And what they say

Side by side, they both get bright

Together, they both get gray

But he's been pretty much yellow

And I've been kind of blue

But all I can see is red, red, red, red, red now

What am I gonna do

I don't understand about diamonds

and why men buy them

What's so impressive about a diamond

Except the mining

But it's dangerous work

Trying to get to you, too

And I think, if I didn't have to kill, kill, kill, kill

kill myself doing it

Maybe I wouldn't think so much of you

I've been watching all the time

And I still can't find the tack

But what I want to know is

is it okay; is it just fine

Or is it my fault; is it my lack

I don't understand about

The weather outside

Or the harmony in a tune

or why somebody lied

But there's solace, a bit in submitting

To the fitfully, cryptically true

What's happened has happened

What's coming is already on its way

With a role for me to play

And I don't understand

I'll never understand

But I'll try to understand

There's nothing else I can do

Red-breasted Sapsucker (Sphyrapicus ruber) on a tree trunk clearing out a nest hole. I found a pair of these woodpeckers working on a number of nest holes at Lake Selmac in southern Oregon. They let me get pretty close, but insisted on staying in the shade while they worked. I pulled the car around and tried shooting from the window. It worked much better, but gave me less choices for backgrounds. The gray/blue on this one is Lake Selmac (the bird was only a couple of feet off of the ground).
