This is my card for this weeks challenge. I used 6 Chewits sweet wrappers for the background & cut out the fruit out of the main wrapper. Heat embossed two Four Dolls. ( I hadn't heat embossed these stamps before i think it really hi-lights the detail of them. )

www.recyclart.org/2016/09/recycling-cast-iron-stove-side-...

I’ve never understood how someone can just throw away a piece of history, like this cast iron pot belly stove that we found when we were on holiday recently. There were bits missing, and it had been painted a vibrant green. I don’t know; maybe the color wasn’t right, or someone just didn't know how special these old cast iron stoves are. Maybe the previous owners threw the old wood stove out when they upgraded to gas? Either way, I fell in love with the color, the rust and those cute little legs and round belly, so she came home with us. Unfortunately, we stay in a thatch roof house so restoring her to her former wood burning glory wasn’t really an option, but that didn’t mean we couldn’t use her for something else, like a little a little side table.

We recycle!

Next to the door we have a Bjuron plant stand, with a Fibbe bin underneath to hold plastic bags that we recycle at the grocery store, and a Slugis box to hold recyclables ready to be put out for collection in the building. All from Ikea.

I covered the flap of the Fibbe bin with some wood grain contact paper. It looks much better now.

A variation on the "Recycle" theme. I quite liked the semi-circular arrangement of the small leaves around the big leaf in the center.. yeah i'm simple like that :).

Thankfully I didn't have to use a flash on this shot, so the colours look more natural (though I did use "vivid" colours on my camera)

Each year the french city of Saint-Victor-sur-Loire hosts a popular raft race that draws visitors from around the region. However one team, Open Sources, decided to put a green spin on their entry to this year’s competition by using recycled materials. Working in partnership with the city of Saint-Etienne and assorted local civic organizations, the team built a catamaran out of plastic bottles and reused wood.

I have a lot of feed bags from the animals. They are amazingly strong and I decided to do something meaningful with them so they wouldn't just go into the landfill.

Each bag is made from extra strong poly blend plastic, sewn neatly so that it folds up great and will hold up to 40 pounds of groceries with out hesitation.

I will be selling these on my etsy shop shortly for a minimal price. All proceeds will go back in to the goats, sheep, and chickens these bags originally fed.
