Je vous présente ici quelques sculptures réalisées avec des objets et jouets en plastique, boites de carton, pierres, bois, inox et autres matériaux classé comme déchets industriel et ménager.Mon message : "pour diminuer le foutre et le jeter devenez fan du Recyclart"
Théo Geschwind, artiste peintre, né en 1955 à Luxembourg. Partant de l’art brut, singulier et s’inspirant de l’art naïf autant que de l’expressionnisme fauve, son travail porte le message de la couleur et de la lumière, une source d’énergie, de laquelle puise l’artiste pour échapper du mal qui le marque. Pour le plaisir de ses admirateurs, Théo continue de peindre malgré la maladie de parkinson, la peinture lui servant simultanément de communication et de refuge. Hand-knit/hand-sewn scarf from recycled/reclaimed sweaters. I salvage fun parts of the sweaters and then unravel the rest. This is made from the edges of a sweater's sleeves and waistline. Most of these scarves consist of 4-6 sweaters. All pieces are original patterns knitted on my great grandma's needles.

These are clean well-marked recycling bins that help keep clean and save money. Even though there ins't a cardboard bin they are saving it to recycle it elsewhere. There is also a big window behind them to provide natural sunlight which can lower energy bills.

I made an intricate metal sculpture of a flower using: recycled sheet metal as the flower petals and leaves, gear from an Audi as the base for the flower, and three small bolts as the legs. Held inside the flower is a small ornamental marble with a Nebula design. I had a friend of mine, Noah Drew, who is a local glassblowing artist, create the marble for this collaboration project.
First, I cut the petals and leaves out of sheet metal using tin snips. Once I had the shapes that I desired, I used my bench grinder with a wire brush wheel to smooth the edges.
Next, I welded each petal onto the Audi gear. I did an inner layer of 3 flower petals, an outer layer of 3 flower petals, and another outer layer of three leaves to finish off the flower.
Next, I welded three small nuts to the bottom of the Audi gear. Once in place, I could screw in the small bolts to use as legs for the sculpture.
Next, I used a combination of: Dremel tool with a wire brush, an angle grinder with a wire cup brush, and the bench grinder with a wire brush wheel, to grind off imperfections, surface rust and sharp edges.
Next, I used pliers to bend the petals and leaves into their final positions.
Lastly, I liberally coated the entire sculpture with a glossy clear coat paint.
Once dried, the ornamental marble can be placed inside the center of the flower. With the use of a small, battery powered, color changing LED lamp the various colors inside the Nebula design of the marble can be displayed. The light shines up through the base of the flower, through the marble and out to the flower petals. The combination of the reflective surfaces of the metal of the flower, and the glass of the marble, give this sculpture some visions of beauty that neither flower or marble could have done on it's own.

This scarf is 100% cashmere from recycled thrift store sweaters. This is the same basic process that is used to make the cashmere throw in "Sewing Green" only you need fewer sweaters! I like to use the original ribbing of the sweater for the end of the scarf and love it when I can use the button front of a cardigan too!
Yes, this is a VW camper van turned into a fountain at a local garden shop... Now here is the really weird thing: this was my daughter's van about 10 years ago. She sold it to a fellow who drove it for years, pulled the engine and sold it to this garden place- where I just happened to see it today. It's not visible from the road so it was just chance that I went in.

Specifically this recycle bin is used to dispose of papers instead of throwing it in the garbage. This makes the building green because you can reuse paper and save the count of trees that are being cut down.
