Don't you want to wait until AFTER you read tomorrow's newspaper before recycling it?

I spray painted my OLD, yellow (with black graphics in 3 languages) recycling bins green, set them on cinder blocks, filled them with soil, and planted peas and bok choi seeds.

ODC-Recycling

We are allowed to recycle a lot here in Ithaca. I can put glass bottles, plastic bottles, lids, tinfoil, and various paper products in my barrel. I couldn't recycle glass in New Mexico, they refused to pick it up. I asked why and I was told the guy picking up the recycling might cut his fingers. Just found out they got a new glass crusher, so they were just dumping the glass somewhere before. Good to see they've upgraded to something better.

Highly commended: Timberley Primary School (an Academy) - another very impressive entry, indicating a wide variety of recycling / re-use applications and making excellent use of reclaimed materials to create interesting environments for plants, animals and pupils.

Single-stream recycling bins. These are all over the place.

Since, for some reason, recycling wasn't built into the janitorial contract with the union, a number of students years ago got together to start a "recycling club" which put fine paper recycling boxes in every classroom. The tradition continued and it became (or may have always been) part of a club called "Awareness Now," which focused on social and environmental issues... I was president of the club for a while, so got the pleasure of emptying recycling bins on a weekly basis.

I did something rare and made something for myself instead of my dolls for a change. This huge hobo bag with a prepossessed look used to be my dad's ancient trench coat. I love the softness of the vintage leather, but I did do a silly thing and lined it with black cotton. Now the huge purse is a black hole that eats up stuff regardless of the numerous pockets I put into the lining. ;)

"Think before you throw."

The subtext being, Malaysia is dirty and has a problem with rubbish because RAKYAT BIASA (REGULAR PEOPLE) don't think before they throw.

Meanwhile factories and heavy industry throw their waste wherever they please. Nolah. Malaysia has a problem with waste management because the Government turn a blind eye to the real source of the problem.

Recycled art firmly believes in making heaven of hell. It's always wonderful to see how one man's junk is turned into another's artwork.

I usually recycle anything that I can anyway but this was the excuse to

go through my files! I tend to save everything, unnecessarily. I

recycled all unnecessary documents and organized all of my files. It is

amazing how quickly I can find things now!

This is a great campaign, even without the iPad... but since you are

offering it as a prize, I hope I win!

This is a vintage dress that I altered to include the top of an old cowboy boot. I also added elastic straps and panels, and cut away portions of the old dress, in an attempt to make it fit more actual humans. Like many vintage dresses it had a narrow waist designed to fit over undergarments that aren't really worn that often any more. As a result the dress is too big for me now - thank goodness I was planning on selling it anyway. I have a big sale this weekend and can't wait to see it on someone with boobs.
