This spring's Speed Champions sets brought with them a bunch of new moulds and recoloured elements. My most anticipated was the Pagani wedge in White in 76922 BMW M4 GT3 & BMW M Hybrid V8 Race Cars. For the latter half of last year I was toying with the idea of using them in a downscaled A-wing, so I was delighted when I realized I could use my tablescraps in a fully-fledged MOC!
Most of this came together quite nicely: the Airjitzu windscreen (18591) was an obvious choice at this scale (finally finding a use after almost a decade!), and I was delighted to find an old Technic Connector (x383) in my collection that made an auspiciously good match for the cannons. Some awkward portions of the build included integrating said cockpit (the recess in the fuselage is a bit more angular than I would have liked compared to the curvy windscreen element) and fitting landing gear: I tried my best but there wasn't quite enough space. I did however, manage a nice smooth underside in lieu of landing apparatus!
I think this is pretty close to what some would call 'minifig scale' but ironically, it's too small to fit a whole figure. The head is sitting on a Racers Body (41850), a detail I overthought as you can barely see it in the finished model.
Thanks to New Elementary and LEGO for sending a 76922 set for review. You can read a breakdown of the set here.
PDF instructions for free @ rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-144251/Brick-Fil-A-Builds/mario-...
Hello Mario fans from around the world. Today is the release of the Mario Bros movie.
To celebrate I made the video game into a framed 3d artwork. It does not have Mario in it because Lego does not have a minifig, yet, but I think there will be one soon. If not, I have seen third party Mario figs.
The build is minifig scale with the iconic bricks, clouds, question mark box and green pipe. The frame looks like a TV in honor of its original release in 1985.

A modular school.
Building instruction is available at: rebrickable.com/users/peedeejay/mocs/
Every city needs a school! The build spans among 3 baseplates and consists of 10 modules. The baseplates can be separated from each other for easy transportation. The complete model weighs about 10kg and has 14417 parts.
The front part contains the main entrance, some trees and a bus stop. The roof areas contain the ventilation units, photovoltaics and the clock.
The ground floor contains the main entrance hall with washrooms for boys and girls. The right wing of the ground floor contains a standard classroom for maths and literature. The left wing of the ground floor contains the music classroom, featuring a piano, drums and some other instruments.
The middle floor contains a cafeteria, where the students can get a quick bite and some refreshments. The left wing of the middle floor contains an IT-classroom and it seems the students are well stocked on mobile devices. The right wing of the middle floor contains the science classroom. At the moment some experiments are ongoing in the chemistry class.
The upper floor contains the library.

An alternate build of set #31129 Majestic Tiger. I was struggling to decide what to get at a recent AFOL Appreciation Day event. Then I saw the 3-in-1 Creator tiger, and I knew what I had to do.
I know the feet are a bit big, but overall I'm really pleased with how this came out.
And yes, the tail comes with an extra section for when its sat down. It's too long when it's stood up, and too short when it's sat down, so I thought I might as well give it the option of adding an extra section when needed.
Space Buggy - 886 rebrickable.com/sets/886-1/space-buggy-classic-space-1979
Okay, here's the latest in my recent line of updated classic space sets. I got busy last night and knocked around until I had created this before going to bed. This is my homage to the classic space set 886, other wise known as the Space Buggy. My design is based heavily off of the original set. From the light grey color scheme, to the air tank mounted on the front, to the antenna array on the back. I was even able to incorporate in my own design for tires. (Yes, those are brick-built.)
The space buggy is driven across the bleak grey lunar surface by two astronauts who are sporting what I'll call "pre-classic space" suits. Basically, it was an excuse to use some of those really neat clear domes that I sent for in my last shop-at-home order. I'm pretty sure those suits have been done before, but I'm not certain who came up with them to give them credit.
Enjoy!

Eurobricks and Rebrickable were challenged by LEGO to make alternate models for current year city sets. The builds had to only use the pieces in available in the official LEGO model, be made in LDD, digitized, tested in real brick and be a model a 7-10 year old could build!!
I received set 60035 "Arctic Outpost".
This was a good set to receive because it had a good variety of parts and plates, but not so many that it was overwhelming. There were some challenges of course, one being there were no brick with stud on one side bricks, though I did have a few good SNOT pieces. Another challenge was the lack of inverted slopes to really shape my models. It was still a fun project and I came up with 5 alternate models.

Cover art for my LEGO MOC of White Poppies in a modern, rounded, square planter.

The trickiest part of this build was having the three flowers lean at a shallow angle. Since the Technic angled linkers are too steep, I implemented modified plates with clips within the bottom portion of the planter to hold the stems in place while strategically places plates, slopes and other bricks prevent those parts from dislodging and the stems from leaning too far in any direction. I had to fill in the flat surface below the loose round plates representing the dirt with a few additional parts so none would fall in.
The solar panel in white was perfect for the large petals while a combination of round plates forms the inner portion of the flowers.
This is also one of the few models in the series that uses classic plant leaves that I fondly remember from a set I had as a kid (#6066, Camouflaged Outpost).

Fallen Optimus Diorama MOC
This is my latest Lego creation inspired by the diorama “Optimus, The Last Battle” by @gundamike.
When I first saw his diorama, I was baffled by the originality and the skills of this Michael Visser 😍.
Originally, I was planning to make this diorama with the Lego 10302 set, but I later changed this due to unforeseen difficulties.
It was too complex to have working knees and the fact the set is very “sturdy”, it was not easy to weather and mod 😕.
After looking for alternatives, I found the alt build by @ransom_fern. I was able to mod his version, so it would fit the setup I had in mind.
At the end, I decided to also abandon the trees and rocks, as I was past my “3 months span of focus”. This is the moment, when I often loose interest and want to build something new 😉.
Anyway, seeing spring had started and Easter was coming, I decided on a flower bed with white and pink blossoms 🌼.
Please check out other posts on Instagram for comparisons between Original vs. Alternate as well as Alternate vs. Mod.

Here are some modifications to the 2023 UCS X-Wing Starfighter set 75355. The landing gear stand is the biggest addition, I've also made subtle changes to the nose of the ship and added an almost correctly scaled R2-D2. Free instructions and parts lists for all three mods are on Rebrickable.
rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-149544/ron_mcphatty/ucs-x-wing-s...
The Landing Gear Stand provides an easy way to display the X-Wing on a coffee table. The ship doesn't need to be modified at all, just lifted off the set's original stand and slotted onto the positioning support. The gear are built into the stand itself!
As a seperate mod I've rebuilt the top surface of the nose section to give it a bit of a slope, hopefully improving the very flat looking nose. The side panels need some slight modifications to fill some gaps and I've made the nose grey, just out of personal perference.
The midi-scale R2-D2 is slightly too large but I think looks good next to the ship when landed! Huge thanks to Jan Woźnica for letting me use his very clever R2 design and make some adjustments, please check out his instagram (@john.carter.creations) and his awesome Tales of The Space Age Lego Ideas set!
