For some reason, Neissa always gets the lame wallpaper and the unretouched pictures. No lighting edition there, though it may not be needed. I'm eager to get her real eyes, Gumdrops Wisteria, and to tame this new wig a little. Once again, this Easter Sunday London date was in a skanky run-down former cinema in Hackney. I'm sure the local hipsters think it's cool. Luckily it has a whopping stage and lax security, so I was easily able to get the big camera in and use it to good effect.

Many of the photos here were posted on my Instagram page shortly after they were taken. However it always has been my intent to also put them up here for several reasons.
There are any number of Flickr visitors who are not on Instagram or are unlikely to find my pages there. And photographs here are of much better quality, and not limited to 10 photos per post.
I have recently decided not to post new content on Instagram. While I don't intend to take down what is already there (at least as of now), I've become increasingly unhappy with the way it operates. Far too many advertisements and "You might be interested in" posts. Too mant "private" members. Some members who have gone down the "AI photo composing" rabbit hole. Their right, but after a little while, their artwork becomes boringly repetitive. And Instagram's annoying ways of attempting you to get more "screen time" and see more of their ads. by posting entries out of chronological order, six day old photos you've seen too many times before new content you might enjoy.
The final straw there was that several of my Instagram entries were taken down for supposed "trademark infringement" I've been around photography intellectual property policy for a long time, and trademark infringement can only occurr for commercial use, like advertising or selling a product. So, goodbye Instagram, to see my new photos, keep an eye out here.
I realize I'm way behind in posting here, this batch is a year and 1/2 old. But, I'll try to ctch up soon. Thank you.

I have no idea why I gave my photography journey up in 2010 but I have grown to understand everything happens for a reason. hopefully back on the horse by January. Anyways all I want to say is don't be intimidated by the fancy editing and pro editing you see on Instagram or anywhere else..I find most of the pics even though they are so pleasing to the eye they always lack something. If you have a soul that's artistic dont let that artist die nor starve. Don't get me wrong there are days I hate taking pictures or editing.I suck at editing but I improvise and that's my strength. That's all enjoy

Fundamental reason you need to replace the screw attachment that comes with the Quick neck strap is that the threads are not manufactured correctly. Also it appears a liquid rubber material might be between each thread as well.
Get this replacement screw instead.

Just exactly as I had posted this, I got an email catalog from DWR listing all their new and classic much of it Italian, art furniture. their functional elegant and affordable line of goods. can't say i would toss it out to the curb if a kind person gave me one of their small leather couchs!

So, the main reason for coming to Sandwich Bay was to see the Lizards in their prime.
Plenty to see, and yet I get the impression there are less than in previous years, especially at the south end of The Strand. But many, many more towards the Pegwell Bay end.

'Once seen never forgotten' is the response of most people to finding their first Lizard Orchid. Its impressive size (up to a metre tall) and the unique structure of the lizard-like flowers, which vary in colour from greyish-green to purple, make it impossible to confuse with any of the other orchid species that occur in Britain. Classified as Near Threatened in Britain, the fluctuations in the Lizard Orchid's range and numbers make it difficult to assess accurately whether this is actually a success story or a potential failure. Although it has disappeared from its few former sites in the north of England, populations in Kent (Sandwich Golf Course is its most famous location) remain strong, and Himantoglossum hircinum plants pop up frequently, but sporadically, on new sites in other counties. Several of the recent 'new' sites have been on golf courses, leading to the suggestion that seed may have been inadvertently carried from one course to another by golfers. Other favoured habitats include field margins, sand dunes, scrub, woodland edges, and roadside verges where it easily competes with tall rank grasses. Sometimes growing on neutral soils, this orchid is more common on calcium-rich substrates. Lizard Orchid flowers from mid-May to the end of July, peaking in mid-June. On mainland Europe Himantoglossum hircinum grows from Holland and Germany in the north to as far south as Spain. In some parts of France this species can only be described as a 'roadside weed' - albeit a most welcome one. The flowers are said to smell strongly of billy goat.
