U.S. Embassy hosts "24 Hours of Reality" event at @america to fight climate change by U.S. Embassy Jakarta

On September 14, U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Ted Osius and others participated in "24 Hours of Reality", an event created by former Vice President Al Gore’s The Climate Project. 24 Hours of Reality gave people from each of the globe’s 24 time zones an opportunity to share the impact of climate change on their communities. The presenter in Jakarta, Charles Wiriawan, was trained personally by former VP Gore. Other special guest presenters included Indonesia’s Climate Change Envoy, Rachmat Witoelar, and Amanda Katili, manager of The Climate Project Indonesia. The event included a question and answer session about U.S. and Indonesian bilateral cooperation on climate change. 150 climate change and environmental protection advocates were in attendance.
