Este majestuoso monumento fué el primer edificio gótico construido en Portugal.
Alberga en el transepto de la iglesia los sarcófagos de estilo gótico flamígero del rey Pedro I de Portugal y de su segunda esposa Doña Ines de Castro.
Bellísima forma de homenajear el amor prohibido y eterno de la pareja que inspiró la siguiente leyenda:
Inés de Castro fue una noble gallega, que llegó con 14 años a Portugal como dama de su prima Constanza Manuel de Villena, cuando ésta contrajo matrimonio con el infante
Don Pedro de Portugal.
Cuando Ines de Castro llegó a la corte , excitó una viva pasión correspondida en el corazón del infante heredero y fueron amantes durante la mayor parte del matrimonio de Don Pedro.
Al fallecer Constanza, la pareja pretendió casarse, lo cual provocó el rechazo del rey Alfonso IV de Portugal y de la nobleza portuguesa a pesar de que de esa relacion nacieron cuatro hijos .
En 1354 el rey Alfonso IV decidió asesinar a Inés de Castro temiendo el inminente casamiento con el infante Don Pedro y la anexión de Portugal al Reino de Castilla.
El infante Don Pedro e Ines de Castro se casaron en secreto ante el obispo de Guarda y de algunos testigos.
Inés fue asesinada en medio de un conflicto dinástico entre Portugal y Castilla en enero de 1355. Los principales implicados consiguieron fugarse a Castilla.
Terrible fue la venganza de Don Pedro cuando fue coronado rey en 1357- La leyenda cuenta que despues de dos años muerta, el rey exhumó el cadáver de Inés en estado de descomposición avanzada, y lo colocó en el trono obligando a su corte a que rendirle postumamente los honores debidos como reina.
En 1360 el rey de Portugal consigió que Castilla entregara a los asesinos huidos los cuales fueron ejecutados de nmediato.

The chapel was built in the 13thcentury, in honour of the nurse of San Vito, Santa Crescenzia. Legend has it that the woman remained petrified - transgressing the order not to turn around during a landslide event - in the same place where the chapel later arose.
The structure is arabesque, but influences from other styles, particularly Gothic and Norman, can be seen. Initially it was used as a place of pilgrimage but. around the 15thcentury, it became a real fortress.

Frigiliana is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. The municipality is situated approximately 71 kilometers east of Málaga, the provincial capital, and approximately 6 kilometers north of Nerja. It is located in the comarca of La Axarquía, the easternmost region of the province, and integrated into the judicial district of Torrox.
Frigiliana is just west of the vast Sierras of Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park, which is home to several hiking trails. The village also holds a vast array of events, the most popular of which being the "Festival de las tres culturas", or the three cultures festival, which takes place on the last weekend of each August. The festival includes countless live performances on the main stage along with street performers all around the streets of the village. Also a popular part of the festival is "la ruta de la tapa" or tapas route, the completion of which earns the entrant a free t-shirt.

Landmannalaugar is in the Fjallabak Nature Reserve in the Highlands of Iceland. It is at the edge of Laugahraun lava field, which was formed in an eruption around the year 1477. It is well known for its natural geothermal hot springs and surrounding landscape.
Landmannalaugar is the northern end of the Laugavegur hiking trail and a popular destination for tourist traveling in Iceland.

Alcalá la Real es una ciudad y municipio español de la provincia de Jaén, comunidad autónoma de Andalucía. Es cabecera de la comarca de la Sierra Sur y se ubica en el extremo suroeste de la provincia, limitando con las provincias de Granada y Córdoba. Cuenta con una población de 21 587 habitantes (INE 2023).
Geografía
Integrado en la comarca de Sierra Sur, se sitúa a 71 kilómetros de la capital provincial. El término municipal está atravesado por la carretera nacional N-432, entre los pK 379 y 399, además de por las carreteras autonómicas A-335, que conecta con Montefrío, A-339, que comunica con Priego de Córdoba, A-403, que se dirige a Benalúa de las Villas, y por carreteras locales que permiten la comunicación con los municipios vecinos de Frailes, Castillo de Locubín y Almedinilla.
El relieve del extenso municipio es variado, pero predomina el propio de la Cordillera Subbética. Por el norte predomina la parte más montañosa, donde se suceden la Sierra de San Pedro (1054 m) el Cerro del Agua (1192 m) y la Sierra de Alta Coloma, que alcanza los 1553 m (pico de la Martina) en el límite con Frailes. Siguiendo hacia el sur aparece una zona menos elevada pero con numerosas colinas y cerros, en uno de los que se asienta la fortaleza de la Mota. Esta zona es rica en arroyos, que descienden de las montañas del norte y del sur. Ya en la zona sur se alza otra zona de montaña que supera los 1200 m y que hace de límite natural con la provincia de Granada. La altitud oscila entre los 1553 m al noreste (pico de la Martina) y los 790 m al sureste, a orillas del río Mures. El pueblo se alza a 1029 m sobre el nivel del mar.
