More than 3100 people turned out for the No Kings 2.0 Rally in Vero Beach, Florida on October 18th, 2025. One of over 2,700 demonstrations that were held, with at least one protest in every state, and several taking place in other countries in support. This widespread participation highlighted the collective sentiment against fascism and the Trump Administration. Resist!

The Royal Path (Camino Real) is part of a complexe network of paths designed by the American Indians in between the XVIth and the XVIIIth century. The path links Bogotá to Cartagena as well as spreading into some areas of Venezuela. It is obvious that its function didn't limit itself to trade, hence whole sections have the sole purpose of enchanting the eye of the traveler. In between Guane and Barichara, Colombia, August 2011.

I am not sure what's in the little brown jug but it seems to enliven the partakers. I mistakenly labeled an earlier postcard as " Party Girls" but these ladies clearly have the earlier group beaten.
It's been a long time I haven't been taking a lot of pictures. One of my goals for next year it will be having the habit to take my camera and photograph on daily bases not only when I'm travelling.
I just visited the JardÃn Botánico em Madrid in my last month in the city and I regret so much cause it's so beautiful and peaceful in there. Especially in the fall/winter season.
I can't even begin to say how much I hate this, haha. A bit embarrassed this is what I came up with... but the thing is I haven't really had time to properly plan anything with my exams so I guess this is the real, right now, in the moment, me.
On the bright side, exams end next week! And, I really wanted this project to kind of document my year so this photo may kind of fit.

Nevada real estate has been hit hard by the collapse in the housing market, though Rhyolite "collapsed" about 100 years ago... maybe this was a saloon.
Our stay in the ghost town of Rhyolite, Nevada was brief; we arrived early in the morning on our way to the thriving metropolis of Beatty, just a few miles away. The wind was howling down off the mountain at about 40 mph and it was ~38 degrees - or was it 50 mph and 28 degrees? the conditions get worse each time I tell the story... :)
Some of the pictures were taken from within the car as I couldn't hold the big lens steady in the wind and was nearly knocked over - and I'm not a petite person.... The place was seriously creepy; I always wonder whether vagrants have taken up residence in some of those abandoned buildings, but we never saw any sign of life in this "ghost town".
This dendritic structure nucleated on the larger crystal at center bottom. the real intent here was to form hourglass inclusions in Potassium sulfate, however, this structure was quite interesting. Photographed using an AO Spencer 42 polarizing microscope (petrographic.) The Sony NEX 5n was connected to the microscope using a Leica MIKAS microscope adapter with a 2/3X reducer, a 10X eyepiece and 3X AO spencer objective.
