On the Saturday trip the 2102 derailed just outside of Dearborn Street Station while returning to Chicago.
The Summer Reading Club was a big hit this year with hundreds of kids participating and reading all Summer long. Any kid who read at least 30 books got their picture taken and was added to the train on the wall in the Juvenile section of the library.
Christmas lights making an early appearance, although they weren't switched on for some time after this.
Walk around Reading, starting along the Thames to watch a flypast from a Spitfire, followed by river walk to Forbury Gardens.

Today is a great day. The weather is perfect, the sun is out, and soon it will be dinner time!
Here is a shot I took rather quickly, spur of the moment kind of thing. It was shot with a Nikon D700 + 50 1.4 wide open. It is brenizer of 9 images. I know it isn't perfect, but I like it anyways.
Although the prospect of project-based learning is overwhelming and new, we can and should apply this style of teaching in the content areas. This would nicely accompany the inquiry units featured in our book club text. It would encourage collaboration with real world goals in mind.
