The Black Rat Snake made its way through the woods as i tried to keep up with it, without being too intrusive. The snake went toward the shed we were working on and in order to move it away, my husband grabbed at its tail. The snake turned and postured like this. They are not harmful to humans. He was just irritated with my hubby...I didn't blame him. My hubby irritates me at times, too! 😂😂
We discovered a small flood pond a few streets over. We made it just in time to see the sunset and this was her reaction!

The Netherlands-Bergen aan Zee
Image of the Buzzard plain (Buizerdvlak), on the border of nature reserves Noordhollands Duinreservaat (PWN) and Schoorlse duinen (SBB). With an eye-catching, intermediate form of a parabolic slash drifting dune. This is one of the sites of the Dutch Dune Revival project, with the main aim to create a more dynamic, revitalised coastal landscape. With for instance white dunes, by removing vegetation, thus setting back the succession to an earlier stage. On this spot the drifting sand moves from west to east, causing a larger and deepened dune lake as well as a regularly overblown and blocked bike path behind the dune (and frumpy reactions of people who are not amused, but I am !)
