I wanted her to look like she was IN the water she was trying to touch to no avail. Poor thing was stuck on a rock in the blazing sun.
I took this with my Pentax K-1000 with the 50mm prime lens and sky filter. 100 speed Agfa film. I developed the film and print myself. Even made the "seaweed" like diffusers outta plastic wrap and packing tape all by my lonesome. It was kinda funny cause in the dark room the kids kept asking "Mary, can I borrow that diffusy thingy you made?" hehehehe!
I don't really like the way she scanned- will have to play with trills scanner later to see if I can make it work better.
Pastor Jim giving it all he's got to grab the ball. For some reason this picture makes me think of the end of Space Jam when Michael Jordan's arm stretches to, like, the entire length of the court and his face is all like, "Ahhhherrrrrl!"

One hundred km later, we have reached journey's end! We enter the Praza do Obraodoiro just as the bells of the Cathedral struck 3pm. The Praza do Obradoiro, or "Square of the Workshop", named after the stonemasons who spent years in the square working on the facade for the Cathedral’s main entrance. It is criss-crossed by eight lines, pointing to the four sides and points of the square. Surrounding the square are the four key buildings, representing the four “powers” of the city: the Cathedral obviously represents the church, and faces the government offices on the other side. At the south is a university building and opposite it at the north of the square is an old hospital building (now a hotel), meant to support the pilgrims of old.
The Cathedral itself is magnificent, with the Obradoiro facade facing the square. The bell tower is on the right and the "rattle tower" is on the left. The "rattles" replace the bells during Holy Week. Pilgrims however have to walk around the right corner of the Obraodoiro facade to the Platerias entrance to the Cathedral. On the left, there is an exit from the Cathedral and here we get to the Azabacheria Facade. This facade gives a nice view of all the towers of the Cathedral - the Clock Tower (at the Platerias entrance), the Cupola (over the altar) and the bell and rattle towers.

The haze in singapore has reached health-hazardous level PSI of more than 300. People are advised to stay home and to wear masks when going out. The haze is brought about by burning of forest for cultivation in Indonesia and is carried by the wind to Singapore. This haze cover is the worst so far in recent years. #kachinlifestories #kachin #kls #klssingapore #kbcs #sghaze #singapore2013
