Gerroa for fish n chips tonight .. yeah I know "what the ?? it's Wednesday !!" well what can I say ? Whales and waves were needed.. and Gerroa had both :-)

Two frames raw developed in DxO PhotoLab 8, stacked and blended in On1 PhotoRaw 2024.5, colour graded in Nik 7 Color Efex and finished off back in PhotoLab.

This is Obi, he will be celebrating his first birthday in a few weeks..
The lovely Aechmea reaching above the intertwined garden greens. You can see it's spiky leaves and patches of dryness.
This is The Old Depot Musuem in Vicksburg, MS prepped as best they can for flooding. The Mississippi River continues to swell in the background. The 2011 Flood reached the 1st floor windows.

What a fantastic night... My favorite shot of this series :)
This series is along the Main Street Pier on the Indian River in Sebastian, FL. The location I chose is between two local watering holes that had competing bands...one of which was playing a song 'Riding the Storm Out' ~ and I did indeed ride it out.
For a brief 'Ben Franklin' moment, I contemplated the potential hazzard of standing next to my tripod while holding that umbrella up over the camera to keep it dry...hmmm
Morning walk from Silvaplana to Sils-Maria in the Upper-Engadin Valley, Grisons, Switzerland. Soon we will reach the village of Sils-Maria (visible in the background).

📷 Photo captures ancient Saguaro cactus arms reaching tall into the big blue sky. Tonto National Forest, AZ.

💠Did you know Saguaro cacti can grow to be 200+ years old and 40+ feet tall, in an environment that barely receives double-digit annual rainfall totals coupled with air temperatures routinely exceeding triple-digits?! 💪 Talk about perseverance in the face of extreme limitations! I find myself always awe-struck in the presence of these incredible feats of natural engineering.

A pretty miserable day yesterday with rain and strong winds curtesy of storm Callum my camera stayed firmly in its bag, luckily I still have a few images from Wednesday mornings visit to the Upper Dove Valley to share. Walking back down from Chrome hill just after sunrise the golden light spreading through the leaves on the tree was magical. I thought the branches reaching out to the sun, the soft mist and the light skimming over the path made a such lovely tranquil scene so did my best to capture it.(Olympus EM-1 Mkii 7-14mm f/2.8 pro 1/100 f/6.3 @ 7mm Kase X-eye polarising filter)

This was from the day after my first image, the mist just a bit nicer . Its a fabulous tree and it looks to me like its been designed by an engineer, the main trunk leaning back to counterbalance the branch extending to the right of the composition.

I don't normally use quotes, but I was struggling to think of a suitable description for this photo and I suddenly remembered this quote, which is one I've always liked (and is also very true!) and it seemed to go with the photo somehow, so I thought I'd put it up :)
I took this outside the very old and beautiful Malvern Priory, Barney is lying outside the side doors, which were just wonderful, I had to try and take a photo of him next to them :) It was a very quick photo shoot, as I doubt dogs are really supposed to be off lead in the churchyard. Barney is well behaved but I understand not everyone appreciates large fluffy canines, especially where people come to sit and have a quiet moment... So I hurriedly took a couple of shots and we continued our walk home. Anyway, I rather liked this one :)
