2022 Recollections
2022年,是個調整步調的一年
今年有幸協助台灣樂高,
在LEGO工作坊,Home Deco主題及星座主題,製作了<珠寶盒>和<星空>兩件作品;
在LEGO STUNTZ系列闖關活動重,製作了障礙挑戰賽的關卡<飛越農場>。
而往常參加必買站的創作比賽,也從選手轉換成評審的身分;
加上後半年,重心轉移到繪製日本街景上,所以創作量少了許多,
明年期許能找回手感,在做出幾個滿意的作品。
Another enchanting taffeta creation from Recollections. This is a 1950's era special occasion dress with a full circle skirt. The bodice features 3/4 length sleeves and a modified boat neckline. Taffeta covered buttons close at the back. A petticoat will flare out the skirt and increase the rustle effect. It would be heavenly to have several in elegant colors in one's closet.

This photo was inspired by "Pressing Flowers" by The Civil Wars, which told the story of a secret relationship. One or the other would press flowers from the gardens which they often found themselves in. These flowers were the only proof of their relationship. The song is sad, whimsical, and beautiful.

"In the Realm of Recollection" (2016).
Acrylic, pigment, and metal foil on canvas; approx. 60 x 80 in. (four panels; each 30 x 40 in.)
Inspired by Marcel Proust’s novel “In Search of Lost Time” (À la recherche du temps perdu), this painting explores the theme of “memory." The layers of shades of different gold paints and pigments with metallic gold segments interspersed depict the elusive and fragmentary nature of memory and recollection.

Flickr is not a member already unfortunately. All of them we miss it.
Recollections of this particular photo session at the Tsim Tsa Tsui Star Ferry Bus Terminus are still quite vivid, even getting on for 28 years after this view of smart advert-liveried KMB Dennis Dragon / Duple-Metsec S3N27 was taken as it arrived from Lai Chi Kok on a Saturday afternoon 6A.

1908 postmarked postcard view of the Baltimore & Ohio (B. & O.) Railway shops at Garrett, Indiana. The 1901 Sanborn™ fire insurance map set for Garrett includes the area occupied by the shops. Based on that map set, this view was looking southwest with the roundhouse at the left and the sand house at the right with the larger erecting shop and the black smith/machine shop in the background on the right. The building in the far background at the right edge of the postcard was probably the car repair shop. The roundhouse was located on the north side of Quincy Street, north-northeast of the Peters Street intersection. The photographer was standing at the north side of the rail yard and must have been standing near where Cowen Street would have been located had it crossed the tracks.
The 1885 DeKalb County history says the new rail line between Pittsburgh and Chicago began operating in 1875. The site where Garrett now sits was selected by the B. & O. for their repair shops because of its distance from Chicago. The city that grew up around the shops was named for B. & O. president, John W. Garrett, and it grew rapidly because of the jobs available at the new shops. The 1900 census listed the population as 3,910. In 1920, the population was 4,796.
In a nomination form for listing part of Garrett on the National Register of Historic Places, the applicant noted that B. & O. began shutting down the shops in the 1920s. Demolition of the structures began in the late 1950s and was completed in 1968. The 1875 roundhouse was the last structure to be demolished.
