Rickety old Minnesota DNR Dock at the Little John Lake Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness Entry Point. Little John is located across the road from McFarland Lake at the end of the Arrowhead Trail.
The Arrowhead Trail runs from Lake Superior at Hovland, Minnesota for about 18 miles into Grand Portage State Forest and the Superior National Forest.

Yes, a place shot to death and I have not been here for a long time BUT brings back a lot of good memories of my journey in photography. When I was there last weekend, I knew what I wanted to end up with and a few things that are important for the shot. That is to emphasize shapes, height and depth in the overall perspective.I actually walk from the Esplanade side all the way to MBS. In total I took about 60 shots on my iPhone and finally decided on this angle which is best for my rendition. The spacing in between emphasizing shapes is about right and the Citi Bank tower included is really a plus point. The only disappointment was the morning haze but lucky to have those clouds.
