Shaped by years of memories
To exorcise their ghosts from inside of me"

First Chester & Wirral Leyland Olympian / Northern Counties 30069 - F160 XYG is pictured in Ellesmere Port returning to Chester on route 3 from Rivacre. The bus was new as 5160 to Yorkshire Rider. The whole of this operation was sold to Stagecoach at the beginning of 2013 but this bus had already left the fleet by then.

So I realize that I hadn't uploaded in forever. my inspiration comes and goes, and when I was in school, my head was too full to even really think about photography. I took some photos in san diego just for fun really but I like this so I'm uploading it.
Bye-bye 2017!! Happy 2018!!
Yeah I am still alive~~~
Yep a bit sad to see only these works I had done within this year. Since I am under pressure trying to graduate. But I will not quit building, hope I can bring more works in future! Ready to enjoy 2018!
Kormoran
(Phalacrocorax carbo)
Those birds are very wary of people in Swedish Archipelago. You cannot stop your boat in a distance much less than 100 meters from them. Well, you can but the cormorants will instantly take off. I tried different approaches in vain until I noticed they don’t mind speeding boats. Taking a sharp picture from a small boat going over 50 km/h on choppy water required some learning and some luck but I could get a decent picture from time to time.
This guy taken in a typical pose – drying soaked feathers after diving.
In looking at this shot when I arrived home, I saw several crops that I liked. I've worked on two.

"Horizons" ~ Puscifer
Horizons
Dust devil swept you away
It's still not real
Ash and urn and silence
Talk to me
Dust devil swept you away
My recollections are all that's left of you
Swirl and sway
Without me
Dust devil swept you away
Whirling playful dancing
About you
What's left of you is
Ash and urn and this
Silent

A southbound Amtrak Hiawatha zips past the Long West at Rondout as it pulls around the connection track. Pure EJ&E motive power and a clean F40 Cabbage that actually matches the coaches-a sight never again to be witnessed.
Wine, for those times when your lover is visiting her parents and all you can do on the kitchen counter is drink :-)

... a few years now since I posted the original of this -- not even sure if it's still in the photostream.
Scanned wet cyanotype on Hahnemühle Platinum Rag.
My mother passed away in 2005, at 76 years of age. She was an Estonian refugee who fled with her family from the Nazis in 1945 at 15 years of age from the island of Hiumaa (Swe: Dagö) in an open boat across the Baltic Sea to Sweden. She was always uncomfortable talking about this, of course it was a horrific experience. But she said that they several times feared for their lifes when seeing German aircraft in the sky...
She eventually arrived safely to Sweden, later educated to a nurse, got married to my father in 1962 and gave birth to me in 1963.
When recently doing a clean up of my storages, I found a plastic bag with her rings, necklaces, bracelets, brooches and watches. This cyanotype photogram is a recollection of you, my mother Aino.
Classic Jacquard two part sensitizer.
Sprinkled with water and vinegar.
Exposed in my UV light box.
Untoned.
(Have been inactive on Flickr a couple of weeks due to severe computer failure, still isn't fixed but at least I can do some basic print scanning again.)
Slightly photoshopped - the left side of the beak was unfortunately too overexposed to recover (the Z7 has surprisingly little leeway in blown highlights, compared to my recollection of the D500), so I cloned & mirrored some of the right-hand side to restore it.
