Although much quieter than the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, the site of Nalanda University attracts international Buddhist tourism. I imagine this man who walks this avenue thinking of his own past.

My recollection of a hundred lovely lakes has given me blessed release from care and worry and the troubled thinking of our modern day. It has been a return to the primitive and the peaceful.

A long, long time ago, when Tyrannosaurus Rex were around I was doing this sort of thing in my dark room in a cave, using 6x6 ( sometimes 35mm ) B&W films. In those days they called this kind of picture a "sandwich photograph' ( it is also called 'sandwich printing' or 'negative sandwiching' ) . This is a technique made by combing two ( or more ) negatives into the film carrier of the enlarger and printing on one sheet of photographic paper as one image. It wouldn't be so hard to get the similar effect if you used tools like 'Photoshop' these days but it was quite a challenging technique back then.

These are some color film shots I took at Woodward and some at home. I'm so pumped on how this roll of Kodak 160 Portra turned out, shooting film has helped me rediscover why I started taking pictures in the first place. Not to make my pictures look cool and trippy with lots of effects or to get a lot of views and favorites, but to convey the memories and the lines of perspective that guide my life. From now on, expect a lot more film from me.
