Humans are complex, imaginative, and explorative beings. We are investigators, travelers, builders, and lovers. We create and destroy—build and tear down—come together and fall apart. We are thinkers and doers; determined to locate our exact physical and philosophical place within the universe. I am interested in the dichotomy between investigation and imagination, the physical world and the imaginary world, the effects of time, and how these concepts and places converge within the spectrum of visual art. I use experimental casting and burnout techniques to create three dimensional ceramic paintings in the forms of towers, walls, orbs, and tiles. Combustibles, ceramic materials, and liquid clay are arranged inside plaster molds. The kiln firing process alters the materials, creating jagged void spaces, shimmering colors, and unique textures. These sculptures symbolize our evolution, our complexity, our history, and investigate hidden emotions and thoughts within.

Filmed historical recollection of the arrival of the Venetian Judges in Cologra Veneta.
In 1406 the Doge of Venice miche Steno decreed that Cologna was aggregated to the Sestriere Dorsoduro of Venice, to stop the bloodish wars among the local Lordships.
Cologna remained faithfull to venetians until the fall of the Serenissima (1797)

Nel 1406 il doge di Venezia Michele Steno decretò l'aggregazione di Cologna al Sestriere Dorsoduro di Venezia, per porre fine alle sanguinose contese tra le Signorie locali. Cologna rimase veneziana fino alla caduta della Serenissima (1797).

Recollection from Edward Forbush...."It is essentially a ground bird. It sings feeds and nests on the ground, but it is by no means entirely terrestrial. As a boy I had read this bird never alighted in trees. Therefore I was surprised to see a small flock of migrants fly into a tree as skillfully as any other sparrow."

My recent photos here are from 1400 mile car trip from San Jose to Anaacortes, WA. The ride along the coast replays a cross country bicycle trip in 1974 that concluded with a dash down routes 1 and 101 on the Pacific coast, The 1974 trip started in Syracuse, NY and ended in San Francisco. Pictures from 1974 are located in my bicycle trip album. This sign is a symbol for the beauty of the coast and the feat of the ride.
This woman stood mesmerized in front of The Old St Patrick’s Cathedral Church, reading some sort of posted notice. I could not pass up the photo op.
