Recollections of domestic life. A 1910 kitchen with a lean-to pantry and a wood-burning stove. The sconces or reflectors on the kerosene lamps intensified the light.

Ispired by my mother's song who is in the hospital for Alzheimer.
She was singing a song she leaned when was very young.
"뜸북 뜸북-뜸북새
Crake, Crake, the bird of crake
Crying on the rice-field
Cuckoo, cuckoo, the bird of cuckoo
Cuckooed in the forest
I was told a pair of shiny shoes
When my big-brogher left on horse-back to Seoul
geese, geese, those geese
coming from the north
Cricket, cricket, crickets
Though they cry in sadness
I don’t hear no news from my big-brother
But I just see those falling leaves of tree

This was meant to be the scene from Wall-E in which Wall-E and Eve are dancing together. Turns out I don't remember anything about it except that they were dancing together. Eve is not shaped like that.
urning back the clock with a Western Region late 1950s, although not entirely authentic recreation, but nevertheless a splendid scene - 'Duke-dog' 9017, latterly named 'Earl of Berkeley' in preservation, and 'Modified Hall' 6989 'Wightwick Hall' at Sheffield Park on 17th April 2023.
