A going away shot of OBB lok 1116 067 in Kirchberg late on the afternoon of the 17/6/15 working a mixed freight train heading towards Salzburg and beyond.

January 2012 sees Australia's major operator, Pacific National, introducing a number of interesting changes to loco power on the Main South line.

C class are appearing on both the Clyde garbage train, and starting tomorrow 11th January, on export grain trains.

Ex Victorian X and G class are now in the loco pool mix along with the two members of the L class.

Interesting times indeed!

A different train came from Turkey, a summer afternoon. Thessaloniki city, Thessaloniki region.

Commonly known as "foxes" here we see type 245 loco no.245 013 terminate at Muhldorf on the evening of the 17/6/15 after working the 20:27 service from Munchen to Muhldorf (RB 27073). This was my first fox for haulage which I did from Munchen Ost off EC86.

Here's a pic of my HO scale Lima brand C38 class loco ( 3801 ) with it's train that's just about complete in July 2021 with only a few more items to be done on these carriages & they'll all be completed as a "set" just like what is seen in the 1970's movie "A Steam Train Passes" which was made by Film Australia , these carriages were made by Lloyds Model Railways / Footplate Models in the 90's & I'm finally completing them in 2021.

Here's a pic that I originally took with my Cosina 35mm film camera back in 1994 of a W.A.G.R. G class locomotive ( G123 ) during the "Back to Pinjarra" weekend event which was held / organised by the Hotham Valley Railway society , it is seen here just passing 1 of their loco sheds.

Here's a scale model of the "New" C series Perth suburban electric trains that are planned to be in service by the end of 2022 if they can do it , these are being made by Alstrom if anyone is interested in knowing.

With 2610/13 stabled at platform 3 between duties, 2603/04 prepares to depart with the 1500hrs commuter service to Cobh.

 

2610/13 is the last 2600 class set to wear the green Commuter livery.

Here's 1 of about 147 pics that I took of the Hotham Valley Railway's 40th anniversary celebrations which was held at their Dwellingup part of the line , this railway used to be able to operate out of Pinjarra W.A. & up into the Darling Ranges to this location with more tracks that go out into the forest to Etmylin for the Etmylin Forest runs , you can find out more via their website which is www.hothamvalleyrailway.com.au/ should you wish to take a look ( or ride ) , this pic is of loco F 40 which was with loco W 920.
