A brief moment of sunshine during a visit to Dutton Viaduct on the WCML in Cheshire. Here we see 66193 cross the viaduct over the River Weaver with a light engine movement to Hartford in order to reverse. The 66 returned a short while later but in lessor conditions on the morning of the 7/3/15

Canberra Rail Museum is this weekend running a series of steam and diesel shuttles from Goulburn NSW to Lynwood, near Marulan, and return. Featuring the beautifully restored Beyer-Garratt DC6029 working the southbound legs, and restored Alco 4402 on the northbound.
Very popular trains, and great photo ops for photographers.

Here's 1 of 3 pics that I took of ex-W.A.G.R. / Westrail H class loco ( H1 ) sitting near the Kewdale railyards before being sold to SCT transport back in mid 1990's this is 1 of 5 H class loco's that the W.A.G.R. had at the time & these were the 1st standard gauge loco's to grace the W.A railway scene.

2606/15 powers away from from Cobh with the 1730hrs commuter service to Cork.

Locos 44767 “George Stephenson” and 92214 “Cock o' The North”.
44767 was built in 1947 for the London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS), a Stanier , 4-6-0 Black Five Class numbered 4767, renumbered by British Rail 44767, withdrawn in 1967. Named “George Stephenson”, preserved and run by NYMR.
92214 was built in 1959, Class 9F, 2-10-0, withdrawn 1965. Preserved by Peak Railway Society in 1980, later moved to NYMR in 2010. Named “Cock o The North” in 2011. (later taken over by the Great Central Railway in 2014 and renamed “Central Star”).
DB Class 66 no.66170 has been captured on the WCML of north of Rugeley station with 6H50 from Willesden to Tunstead on the afternoon of the 9/5/15

This is a pic of X207 at Lithgow loco depot back in the early 90's around the time that the loco roundhouse was being dismantled & this pic was taken on a Cosina 35mm film SLR camera with a 46 class bogie just visable behind the loco & also behind loco 442?? in Reverse colours with loco 48113 also visable in this shot.
