As you look up Widgeon Valley, you see Gloomy Peak on the right. To me, there's nothing gloomy about this place...even in the torrential rain storm we enjoyed, the day we were out shooting there. This place seems to radiate beauty and joy no matter what the weather. A wonderful place for a Flickr friend photography adventure!
This symmetrical heart shape with spirals was created as follows:
Cut a piece of ribbon about 18 inch long and 1 inch tall. Fold the ribbon in half, lengthwise. Roll both ends towards the centre. Adjust the two spirals to form a symmetrical heart shape about 2.5 inch in diameter.
I decided to use yellow colour ribbon as it symbolizes happiness.

The Amaryllis now has three full blooms on the one stalk. I hope they last long enough to see the blooms of that second stalk. The red color is truly vibrant and radiant.
From within the cocoon of this small honeysuckle, new life emerges. Reaching out, radiant with energy and ready for the new season. My first photo from Spring.
Many thanks for all views, fav's - and particularly comments - all are greatly appreciated!
Happy Macro Mondays to you all!
This is the Seiko Orange Monster, a traditional divers watch with the classic Seiko clockwork automatic movement. This model is noted for having particularly large and bright luminous elements. It’s a functional piece however someone clearly had an eye on the aesthetics…

Street photography from Edinburgh, Scotland.
Previously unpublished shot from August 2015 while out for the day at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This shot was only held back because the focus is a little of at 1:1 scale and I had so many good shots that day. I hope you like this one. I do love making someone's day enough that they spontaneously offer a smile.
