You cannot beat an early morning walk along the beach when you are greeted with a scene as beautiful as this.
This is the best time of day during our current lockdown in the UK, to avoid the crowds and set you up for the day ahead. It's reserved for runners, dog walkers and photographers looking for that elusive shot.
I'm back after years of absence. Some of you I've been seeing on Insta. Instagram is changing and is not about photography anymore. So back here where it's all about photography!!
First light on Mt. Rainier, seen from Dege Peak. Was fun hiking here in the dark to be ready for the show to begin at daybreak.
Easy to see why this section of the Park is named "Sunrise."

It's hard not visiting the beach, but the thing I miss most are those wonderful moments just standing waiting for the sun to set. You're never sure if the clouds will colour up and give a final radiant flourish to the passing of the light. Luckily it's been clear blue skies every day since lockdown so I don't feel quite as frustrated as i could be. So many other's have and are going through so much worse that it feels particularly selfish to think such thoughts. The Radiant City is by Johann Johannsson and the Dirac Quartet and is very beautiful. I haven't finished with my creative photography experiments but felt I would show a photo of the beach to show i hadn't forgotten my first love . Keep safe and well, Paul :))

Looks like a funky solar eclipse or other celestial event - HMM!
Macro Mondays - Eraser(s).
This colourful knot is indeed an eraser. The halo effect was created by in-camera double exposure (out-of-focus capture on top of a normal one).
I will be traveling, therefore have to post before monday.

For today's Macro Mondays theme of "radiant " . This is a candle INSIDE its holder radiating the light from within. Measurements : 2.5 " diameter at the top and I've cropped the bottom out to make it conform to the rules. EDIT: I've put a note around the light source - that being the top of the candle.

Your comments are always welcomed and appreciated, but mostly I want to thank you, for just taking the time to look.
Every morning when I was there, we were blessed in a dream time by the gorgeous view of the dawn over the mountains.
At first we used to see glimmers appearing on the horizon behind the mountain ridges, then gradually they were becoming stronger, covering all the sky with unreal colors until sunrise.
I was finally able to take this magnificent scene the last day I was there, it makes a wonderful goodbye to this enchanting place.

Aurore radieuse
Tous les matins où j'étais sur place, nous avons eu droit par un temps de rêve au spectacle prodigieux de l'aurore sur les montagnes.
Des lueurs d'abord ténues apparaissaient à l'horizon derrière les crêtes des montagnes , puis progressivement elles devenaient de plus en plus fortes et tapissaient tout le ciel de couleurs irréelles jusqu'au lever du soleil.
J'ai enfin pu prendre ce magnifique spectacle le dernier jour où j'étais là, cela fait un merveilleux au revoir à ce lieu enchanteur.
