Mountain Cottontail Rabbit (a.k.a. Nuttall's cottontail; Sylvilagus nuttallii) - Buffalo Bill State Park, Wyoming
As billed, this guy was hiding in a rock crevice during the day waiting to feed in the safety of night. My climbing around near its hiding place caused it to take a peak to see what the fuss was about.
this little rabbit carried on feeding as I took it's photo actually coming to within a couple of feet of me before it sensed I was there!
Had a work trip to the island of Eday yesterday, despite being a murky grey day, i couldn't resist a few shots of the local wildlife ;-)
We can feed rabbits by skillet.
Rabbits ate it quickly.
