At one of the local libraries there a varirety of little animals wandering around. While there to photograph a Ross' goose this little bunny appeared.

This rabbit was running in tight circles in the middle of the street. Obviously not doing well. Our friend managed to catch it and put it in a box. Later, I took it to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville.

Roaming free at Denver Zoo

The wild rabbit lives by himself (or it could be herself) in our front garden under a big conifer, in spite of our 2 dogs best attempts to catch him...

Want to drive a beagle crazy? Put one of these in your yard.

This is one of many rabbits in our backyard and they drive our beagle Ginger NUTS. Whenever we take her out in the backyard, she'll go into overdrive - tail wagging furiously, nose to the ground, running here there and everywhere trying to track the rabbit. It's a good thing she's not a hunting dog though, because more often than not she's so busy sniffing the ground she won't see the rabbit sitting in the grass 3 feet away from her!

And yes, I really did take this photo in our backyard, despite the fact that it looks like a jungle. We haven't been able to mow yet this year and it's been raining for so many days straight that the weeds are beginning to take on a life of their own. This bunny has been nice enough to eat a few here and there to help us out :)

I found this Peter Rabbit fabric(it was a laundry bag) at a flea market and have held onto it for like a year. I finally decided to cut into it and am pleased with how the bag came out.

Well known for their ability to reproduce, they can have several litters each year from the age of around three months. With an average litter size of six.Babies are born naked and blind in a special burrow, or stop, made by the doe. Weaned at four weeks, they leave this burrow to take their place in the rabbit community.
