Vertical panorama shot with the iPhone

I shot this a Darby Creek it was a late evening walk and seeing the buffalo roaming in such a deep wild field was an amazing thing so beautiful almost took you back in time.

A big public party to celebrate the completion of a brand new runway at Calgary Int'l Airport... The longest runway in Canada... All photos were taken with a 10 - 24 rental lens, apologies for some weird distortions...

On one of the days during the week it was scheduled that we'd catch a 'forest train' to cross over to the Czech republic and see what is on offer. The route we took was not exactly immersive for the road through the forest was made of tarmac.

Running wildly around us however were a number of stallions resplendent in their demeanor.

Roaming wild in Skarsvag, Norway (the top of the world)

Visit to the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan on July 5, 2017. This rare Kalamazoo-built landaulet is part of a display in the Heritage Center of cars of Kalamazoo.

The Roamer, named for a famous racehorse of the time, was built by the Barley Motor Car Company of Kalamazoo. This was a high-priced car, averaging $4000. The Gilmore Car Museum today has the largest collection of remaining Roamer automobiles.

All of my classic car photos can be found here: Car Collections

Road-tripping through the Tuscan countryside

Roaming some southern Indiana back roads this morning, and found wheat fields about ready for harvest.

A male Chacma Baboon (Papio ursinus) roaming the Cape of Good Hope...

The baboons can be quite dangerous at the Cape, as they are used of "tourists" always having something what they can steel from them, especially food. They can get very aggressive and as they have an amazing dentition, rather stay alert when you see them. Unfortunately people made them to what they are now as the tourists are always fascinated about monkeys in nature and think they are in a zoo and feed them...

This one strolling the area was not disturbed by my presence there and just did what he naturally did. Maybe that the lack of tourists for some time now did something good for the habit of these wild animals as well.

Roam if you want to

Without wings, without wheels

Roam if you want to

Without anything but the love we feel

Okay, I am going to call this next series, “Random Shots, Amsterdam”, #863 thru #898. They don’t really fall into any other grouping here. Some of these were taken while I was roaming around on my own, and some were taken when my buddy was showing me around this wonderful city, Amsterdam.

This is a detail from atop a doorway. I cropped it this way to emphasize the figures.

I am like a remnant of a cloud of autumn

uselessly roaming in the sky, O my sun ever-glorious!

Thy touch has not yet melted my vapor,

making me one with thy light,

and thus I count months and years separated from thee.

As I mentioned earlier, I was most pleasantly surprised to find out that there is public transit between Calgary and the town of Banff (inside Banff National Park), and between Banff and surrounding sites. The Banff public bus service is called Roam and each bus is painted in a special theme.

#Roam-a-phobia

Who would have thought that in two thousand and current year so many people in the UK would be quite so Roam-a-phobic? I don't consider myself roam-a-phobic and I don't have any friends who I know to be that way. Can we all agree we need to put an end to Roam-a-phobia

I do dislike littering though, that's just the way I am. But if more bins were provided and regularly emptied, maybe that would change. I truly believe there is some rubbish that we really need to stop.

I also think people should tinkle in public toilets but if they are closed then 'al fresco' tinkling becomes more likely.

Treat people the way you would like to be treated, like humans, and they might act that way.

Hello there. Relevant comments welcome but please do NOT post any link(s).

Sheep with their spring lambs

This is the most dramatic and elegant doorbell-ringing device I have ever seen. The pull handle is at the bottom of the photo, just left of center. Above that, the handle is connected to an elegant spiral of gold-painted wrought iron flowers and leaves, wrapped around a metal rod. Then the bare rod connects at its top to a grandly decorated hinge mechanism.

From the hinge, a metal actuator extends through the villa wall and jangles the bell inside the entry hall. Kid must love ringing it...and probably lots of grownups too. I could barely resist.

The Roamers are nomads of the post-apocalyptic landscape, scrounging food and weapons off of the dead bodies littering the ground. Any extra supplies they find are sold or traded to whoever they find in the harsh wastelands.

Lame backstory, I know. Also, inspired by Venom's minifig.

While I was home in Texas I decided to do a shoot at my grandfathers land. It was chilly, windy & dry thanks to everyone who helped tollerate it :D

RDS658W was a Bedford VAS5 / Duple Dominant C29F purchased new by Reekie of Kinglassie in September 1980. It was accepted as a trade-in by Cotter's Glasgow dealership and put to work in the Watson's, Dundee based subsidiary. It later passed to Carrey of Aberfeldy, then Ferguson t/a Roamer of Cleland in 1994. It was captured in Wishaw on the service to Cleland.

A shelter that is well exposed.
