The character from the famous board game Monopoly, with his hat and cane. He took 8 hours to design on brick paper, and then about 25-30 hours to build. In this build I wanted him to look a little more human-like, rather than cartoon-ish. I was only able to find one image to work off of, which shows him in this pose. It was a lot fun to build!

My friend Rich of 21 years passed away on Tuesday. We went to a lot of car shows over the years, listen to the bands, and talked about a lot of things. He knew his cars, and had a lot stories from the 60's when cruising the town was the thing to do on Friday night. He like to listen to Coast to Coast AM and was always interested in UFO topics This photo was taken in 2004 at the Brunswick, Ohio car show. Rich's health has been on the decline for years but he never let it stop him until this past year when everything was just too much to over come. Rest in peace my friend.

Kansas City Southern SD40-3 #612 leads a southbound train up Rich Mountain on a beautiful fall day in 1996. Although technically a SD40-3, #612 is an SD45 to me!

My travels around the UK by car for three weeks with my son. June/July 2019 England.
Walking around Christchurch Priory our way from Winchester to Sidmouth where we are staying the night.
Christchurch Priory is an ecclesiastical parish and former priory church in Christchurch in the English county of Dorset (formerly in Hampshire). It is one of the longest parish churches in the country and is larger than 21 English Anglican Cathedrals.
The story of Christchurch Priory goes back to at least the middle of the 11th century, as Domesday says there was a priory of 24 secular canons here in the reign of Edward the Confessor. The Priory is on the site of an earlier church dating from 800AD. In 1094 a chief minister of William II, Ranulf Flambard, then Dean of Twynham, began the building of a church. Local legend has it that Flambard originally intended the church to be built on top of nearby St. Catherine's Hill but during the night all the building materials were mysteriously transported to the site of the present priory. Although in 1099 Flambard was appointed Bishop of Durham, work continued under his successors. A mid-12th century account recording the legend of the Christchurch Dragon indicates that by 1113 the new church was nearing completion under Dean Peter de Oglander. By about 1150 there was a basic Norman church consisting of a nave, a central tower and a quire extending eastwards from the crossing. It was during this period that another legend originated, that of the miraculous beam, which is thought to have brought about the change in the name of the town from Twynham to the present day Christchurch, but in fact the two names both featured in a grant dated AD 954 ('juxta opidum Twinam, id est, Cristescirce').

Great news - finished making the moulds for Pembleton Stranglefoot this weekend and did a quick test pull in resin, came out great.
Expect to see some of these little chaps available in the near future.
I went up to Massachusetts this weekend to attend Dustoff which was held at an old racetrack in Seekonk. It was my first time attending the show and I loved it, such a layed back show with nice cars and good friends. I originally planned on meeting up with Rich Saturday night to shoot in Boston but the weather and traffic made us put it off until after the show. We ended up finding this spot on the way to the show and decided to work with it.
Rich and Stan ended up taking first in their class so a photo shoot was definitely needed!

Late in the day we are back in Cromwell. We are now walking over to taste some wines from the Wooing tree vineyard.
Cromwell is located in the valley of the Upper Clutha, deep in the heart of the dry interior of Central Otago... in a landscape of bare brown hills, of tussock and briar, of purple thyme and tors of schist, of broad basins and fertile valleys, of Lake Dunstan's pristine waters and of gorges carved by two great rivers... a landscape first trodden by the Maori hunter and trader, opened to European settlement by the sheepmen, exploited and transformed by the gold seekers and later by the dam builders... and now home to the merino and deer farmer, to orchards and vineyards, to artists and artisans and to those, tempted by the landscape and history, climate and location and the myriad of pursuits offered on land and water, to visit this 'timeless land'.

Not much photographing going on recently. Although I did photoshop my face on some eggs... Anyway! I've also been comissioned by my school to take photos of students and I will have several wildlife prints displayed in one of the school buildings. And I might be organising a photography club.

Rich: "Yeah .... you know what he always says ... 'Bow ties are cool'
Rich: "You haven't happened to see him have you? The Tardis just up and disappeared."
C3PO: " No , we've seen no sign of him. We shouldn't even be here, but that's another story."
#2 Ester is out for her afternoon bike ride......
Ester: "Hey Mister ... You look lost. You shouldn't even be out here. There's bears around."
Rich: "Well you're here."
Ester: "Yeah but they know me and they like me too. They wouldn't like you I think."
Rich: OOKAAY ..... Have you seen a Raggedy looking man with a bow tie and maybe a fez too? He would be traveling in a blue phone booth that says 'Police Call Box' on it."
Ester: "You mean it has wheels?"
Rich: "No .... it flys."
Ester: "My mom would say that you've fallen off your rocker."
#3 Meanwhile word has spread around that a new guy in town seems to be 'Not Quite with the Program' as they say.
So Officer Martin Riggs happens to be on duty and slaps some cuffs on poor Rich.
Rich: "Hey... what did I do?"
Riggs: " You mean besides scaring little girls?
Rich: "That's not fair! I only asked a question!
Riggs: "Yeah ..... about a flying phone booth...."
Rich: "It's true! I'm the Doctors companion & we travel on the Tardis .... a flying blue phone booth!!! I'm also the new owner of Starbucks in town!!!"
Riggs: "Yeah , and I'm the King of the World."
#4 Riggs: "C'mon .... you're going in for a psych evaluation. Plan on spending the night."
Rich: B.B. but......"
