RF-4 EJ is responsible for reconnaissance flight, but since it has a weapon control system, attack missions are also possible.

Russian Air Force Su-27SM

A 6th Generation Multipurpose Fighter used by Ragnarok Security Solutions.

It has very high stats, and as such can perform Level 4-5 maneuvers and stunts. For an ace pilot this is a must-have aircraft.

It can easily be fitted with TLS.

Graphical methods that were used in the pre-computer age enabled complex tasks to be performed with an acceptable degree of accuracy, by practitioners who were often unaware of the science behind their tools.

To use an improvised compass in no way undermines Mr. Smiths superb invention, but demonstrates what can be achieved with very simple tools.

I'm reading a book on macro photography by Harold Davis called Creative Close-Ups: Digital Photography Tips and Techniques that's kind of inspired me to try some new things. For this shot, I added a 36mm Kenko extension tube to my macro lens so that I could get in really close, and then put some water drops on the flower. The author loves to use water drops, and I've always liked them, but I think I'll use them even more now.

Lighting info: I wanted side lighting for the shadows it creates that reveal textures and shapes. Lit with one YN560 in a 24 inch soft box camera left and in front at 8 o'clock. For fill light I hand held a small mirror camera right to bounce some light onto that side of the flower. The flash was in manual mode, and was triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N.

Other plants, flowers, fruit or thingys that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Plant set. In the description for that set, I list resources that I've used to learn how to light with off camera flash. www.flickr.com/photos/9422

While RF 600 lays over in the bus station at Orpington it attracted some admiring attention from drivers of the service buses, who asked questions about its age etc and wanted to sit in the driver's seat.

Konica Hexar RF rangefinder camera. Successor to the AF. These had a production run of just 4 years(1999 till 2003). Don't know the vintage of my one. Was interested in getting a rangefinder and happened upon this one on ebay. Googled it and came upon this review: www.cameraquest.com/konicam.htm.

Got it for £400 body only and was fortunate enough to find a 50mm f2 lens for £100 not long after. I've since been keeping an eye out for a 28mm or 35mm hexanon and they just don't seem to crop up on ebay very often. May have to settle for a voigtlander lens. The 35mm f2.5 pankake lens looks nice and compact.
