London Transport's RF 369 rests between turns at the Weybridge station terminus of route 219 before commencing a journey back to Kingston during December 1978.
RF 369 led something of a charmed life being withdrawn and subsequently reinstated on at least two occasions during 1976 and 1977. It subsequently survived until the last day of London Transport RF operation in March 1979 but sadly ended up being sold to Booth's of Rotherham for scrap by the end of that year after several months in store.
From memory I believe that 369 was unique in being the only re-certified RF at Kingston to retain both gold fleet nos. and it's original gold fleet name at this time (although RF 507 was restored to this condition during its last few days of operation).
Surely these were amongst the most handsome buses to ever work in the capital!

Gek genoeg was deze set eerder deze week door DB Schenker naar Amsterdam gebracht.

I seem to have acquired a fifth of this. It's a London Transport AEC Regal IV dating from 1953, always a green Country Area bus, although the body has seen service on a member of the red Central Area fleet.
Just re-pannelled and re-painted, so she is in fantastic condition inside and out. And mechanically very sound too. Long may she stay that way...!

There were only two guys on BL selling those dark pearl grey transmission rings in quantity. They look cool, but the color is different than the newer dark pearl grey parts (like the fingers on Robomalu). Weird.
Well, RFs are ace, aren't they? RFs 518 and 600 seen at London's Ace Cafe on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Routemasters ceasing everyday service (on route 159).
There have been numerous customer's buses which I've been sad to see the back of as they've left RBW as completed projects. There have also been many which I couldn't wait to dispatch! Very much in the former category was this Ex London Transport RF class AEC Regal IV, MXX 280 which was a pleasure in almost all respects. For a bus of it's age (approaching 60 years) it's an absolute treat to drive and goes about it's business in a competent and un-ruffled manner. Yesterday saw it depart for it's new life as a working bus with Routemaster Buses of Crewe having just passed it's CoiF and class VI MoT.
