April 1979 and the Severn Valley Railway is the setting for this shot of LNER K4 3442 "THE GREAT MARQUESS". It is seen here at Bridgenorth awaiting further restoration.
The drivers side front wing was beyond saving. Rusty steel, body filler and more rusty steel. So- as there are no body panels available- we panel beat a new one! This is a work in progress photo. This panel still needs a lot of work and aligning. It is just held in place in this photo. It still needs finishing on the English wheel before welding in place.
Week 6-8
The time was spent hunting down parts needed to continue with the restoration. Also, The under cariage has been paint a deep sweet red.

I bought this 1985 Honda VF1100S in San Francisco for $885 in 1998 and rode it 4,500 miles before I ever got it home. Over the next couple years I added custom Tarozzi/STM rearsets, low bars with bar-end mirrors, a Rifle Nightflight fairing, a Corbin Canyon Racer seat, and Dunlop D205 radials. I parked it in 2001 after several gears went missing. It now has a new engine with a Dodge Racing top-end oiling kit, a Dynojet Stage 1 carb kit, Jardine slip-ons, and black powdercoated engine and cam covers. The old engine was making 102rwhp in stock tune and I don't expect the mods to add much if any power to the new engine, just a little better bottom end. It makes plenty at the top already, IMO. Suspension and brake upgrades to follow.
