Taking a break from revisiting my travel photographs. I was recently at a protest in the city, these are the photographs I ended up with.

TERAPI-RESISTIENDO. PARA NO DESFALLECER.

It's been a while since I last updated. I came across this thing yesterday and I couldn't resist. That place looked gorgeous in the fog.

I know, I know, this doesn't really make sense. Why would anyone park an X-wing under those lights? And how? But, you know, I don't care, I think it looked fine and took the photo regardless of logic, or lack thereof. :)

As usual with my scale model photos, the great Cedric Delsaux and Bill George loom very close by. Trying to avoid their paths is not easy but the snow provides at least some room to manoeuver without coming out as a exploiting someone else's work too much.

A Merganser hen swam into the pond reflections, a picture hard to resist. At the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge in western Washington.

Sitting by the Union Canal this evening after work - too lovely an evening to go straight home after busy work day, so stroll then sit by the water as the sun was declining. I noticed the coppery red light of the sunset colouring these chimney pots and couldn't resist zooming in for a pic. I just loved the way the very red sunset was colouring these against that blue sky.

I found I could not resist them...so another couple for now...from the pretty litte cove called Little Port. The photo club I attend was considering a trip to Newfoundland and not enough people signed up so I am sharing lots of photos so they can see all the pretty places they are missing ;-)

Lincoln Park is a very poor part of town, but it also has an increasingly gentrified business district (the usual, brew pubs, expensive but casual eateries, cafes). Old bars like Curly's are holdouts. Perhaps not for long, as property taxes rise.

Couldn't resist this . . .

seriously . . .

how many of you have experienced such a sight?

Well, maybe sitting at the end of a bar isn't your thing . . .

but this is a favorite hangout of ours because they have a wonderful "bar menu" with or without a drink . . . every few weeks I have a hankering for a Bloody Mary so here is where we head.

I didn't want this couple to be identifiable, but absolutely HAD to get this capture of what has become a worldy obsession.

And oh, BTW, my husband and I still look at each other,

face to face, when we step up to the bar!

not me!

my daughter came home with photos of this little guy from the shelter-now guess who's coming home to our house today?

One from last year. A much photographed location but I couldn't resist those clouds and that view of Plymouth.

Mount Edgcumbe House is the former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. It is set in Grade I Cornish Gardens within 865 acres of Country Park on the Rame Peninsula, South East Cornwall.

The House was first built in the 1500s and was restored after World War Two. It is jointly owned by Cornwall Council and Plymouth City Council and is one of the region’s most popular historic tourist destinations.

The formal gardens are found in the lower park and were created over 200 years ago in the English, French and Italian styles.

A folly comprising a deliberately ruined stone tower incorporating medieval architectural fragments from the churches of St George and St Lawrence in Stonehouse, stands to the south-east of the house, among mature specimen stone pines. The folly was constructed in 1747 as a picturesque feature in place of a navigation obelisk.
