Cà fait chaud au coeur..de voir qu'il me connaissent..

ICi un petit bébé mésange bleue qui vient de sortir du nid et de s'envoler.. très fatiguée et avait froid..

la maman l'alimentait par intervalles tout en la laissant récupérer,

lorsqu'elle avait les yeux fermés comme sur cette photo ..!

Là dans mon figuier elle se sentait en sécurité... un scène unique et inoubliable que j'ai voulu partager

A true open-air museum, Rome has preserved and enriched its beauty over the centuries. Each corner of the streets reveals a treasure, be it ancient, religious, architectural or even gastronomic. All roads lead to Rome, and one should not resist, simply take it and go, enjoy the beauty and admire the eternal city.

Usually in winter, I photograph birds outside, but the kowhai tree flowering last spring was incredible... and the best view is from inside, where it's elevated and I can photograph straight into the tree. So I spent some time photographing through double glazing! Not my favourite glass... but... the glimpse into birdworld was too strong to resist :-)

Silvereyes are very communal birds, often visiting in small family groups and pairs. Some preening pairs are family, some couples, and some just dating ;-) If one preens too roughly the moment is soon over!

I glimpsed this pair through my lcd quite far back in the tree... I didn't see them at all with my bare eyes. They were there maybe only a minute, but seeing minutes like these makes a lot of happiness :-)

Just before going in to the conservatory to see the annual orchid show 2023, I spotted this tree in full spring bloom in NYBG, Bronx, NY ! Please see the photo in LARGE. Thanks !

the present cross-shaped church was built in 1759.It is the only cruciform church in the Nordfjord district,and there are very few in western Norway.A building of this shape resists strong winds.

The ground floor of the church comprises five squares for-ming a greek cross; the seating is arranged so that the aisles form a Roman cross.The pews are in boxes , each with a door,giving the church a special character. Each farm had its own box pew, and some doors bear the family "mark" or initials.Some of the carved doors and jambs are made from timber taken from the stave church.

The eastern arm of the cross forms the chancel and is separated from the nave by a screen characteristic of churches of the middle ages. the exterior, wooden walls are painted white whereas the inside walls are unpainted.

Yes, I admit, that is a terrible pun, but I couldn't resist.

Erigé à la pointe de Saint Cast (pointe de l'Isle), ce monument en granit inauguré le 6 aout 1949 rappelle l'Histoire de la Résistance lors de la seconde guerre mondiale. Il rend hommage aux hommes et femmes qui se sont "évadés" pour rejoindre l'Angleterre et la résistance qui s'y organisait, ainsi qu'à ceux qui ont apporté leur aide pour la réussite de ces "évasions", et bien sûr à tous ceux qui y perdirent la vie.

Sur son socle on peut lire : " « Aux Évadés de France qui préfèrent mourir debout que vivre à genoux. »" et sur le haut du portique on voit Honneur et Patrie de part et d'autre d'une Croix de Lorraine. Il serait la réplique de celui qui fut élevé à la frontière espagnole.

En février 1941, le Buhara appareilla depuis la baie de la Frênaye. À son bord, 15 jeunes gens partis rejoindre les Forces françaises libres en Angleterre. Parmi eux, neuf élèves pilotes de l’École élémentaire de pilotage de Saint-Brieuc, leur instructeur, un technicien aéronautique et quatre Dinardais volontaires. Mais après différents problèmes en mer qui finalement immobilisèrent le bateau, il fut arraisonné par un patrouilleur Allemand.

Arrêtés, deux des jeunes hommes furent fusillés comme instigateurs et bailleurs du projet, les 14 autres furent déportés au camp de Lüttringhausen. Deux y décédèrent.

Le monument aux évadés compte les 2 noms, Pierre Armand Devouassoud et Jean Magloire Dorange, les fusillés.

A droite du monument, on aperçoit le "canon de la Corbière" qui faisait partie d'une batterie de quatre canons placés à la pointe de Saint-Cast (pointe de l'Isle) et a donc participé à la bataille de Saint-Cast le 11 septembre 1758, quand la France, alliée de l'Autriche, était en guerre contre l'Angleterre et la Russie...

caminando por una de las calles principales de Mirambel encontramos esta bonita fachada con el balcón tan bonito y no pude resistirme a hacerle una foto. Resulta que es un alojamiento rural de calidad. La construcción es la estandar en el pueblo que protege del frio y aisla el calor.

walking through one of the main streets of Mirambel we found this beautiful facade with the beautiful balcony and I could not resist taking a photo of it. It turns out that it is a quality rural accommodation. The construction is the standard in the town that protects from the cold and insulates the heat.

Although titles may seem like a countdown to sunrise, I simply wanted to post in chronological order. When I get to the shot taken at official time of sunrise, it will actually be looking away from the sun. I will also be including images taken after sunrise.

I can not resist taking shots of grasses, and although I found the bit of frozen water interesting, my main focus was on the grasses and the western sky which had more clouds than looking east. In hindsight I wish I would have zoomed in to the frozen water as an extra shot, but I was trying to work quickly as the light, and especially the skies were changing very rapidly.

Couldn't resist a return visit to see these lovely birds and their young ones.
