With Gray skies overhead and few rain storms around on this Saturday Feb 22th,2020 Morning. We see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office Court security and Civil Process Deputy Harry Martia talking with a woman supervisor at the construction office trailer on the property of Eagle Lake Nursing Home that has a new addition being built. Deputy Martia serving civil papers to a worker on the project .
2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 or 2500 4x4 Quadcab. This pickup can transport prisoners it has a cage inside. You would think to save money the CA State Parks would be buying base model work trucks not SLT's but pickups from this era costed less than they do now and the SLT trim probably didn't add much to the price since they bought a bunch of these trucks at once.
On this Friday Nov 23 ,2018 or this year know as Black Friday and in lot big cities fights have broken out over so called deals at retailers .Well this Black Friday is little strange for little old Sparta / Hazzard Range county . .She and Sergeant Parker Walles have been dispatch to a big box store in the Gateway Plaza ( 900 block of Old Mexico AV / NM state rd 308 ) to a report of fight in progress .
Deputies arrived on scene with in mins of getting the call. Found the fight over ,but two older women ( 70s ) ,guy and women ( 30s-40s ) along with teenager. Was fighting over last of some Tvs that had 60% . marketed off of them ..No injuries were reported and no charges filed ,but.the deputies were ask by store management to escorted out the five out and all five leaving empty-handed .
Kat and I plan on purchasing a 30' travel trailer for our 25th wedding anniversary. However, our existing truck didn't have the towing capacity we needed.
So, with a lot of reluctance, I traded him in and bought this '02 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a Cummins Turbo Diesel.
Before I purchased it, I had it checked out by Firestone, who said it looked good other than a small leak in the oil gasket. No trouble codes in the engine. Two days later I take it to Dodge to have the tranny and rear differential serviced, and darn if there aren't codes showing the injector pump is going out.
Dodge wanted $2,600 to replace it. OUCH! Firestone swears no codes were showing. Could an unscrupulous dealer erase those codes? Turns out....yes, until they show up again. GRRRR
My neighbor recommended Precision Ag up in Granger, a small farming town 35 miles from here. Nick, a mechanic there, replaced not only the injector pump, but the lift pump and added a fuel pressure light on the dash for $1,600. New parts, $1,000 less than the greedy Dodge dealership. Well worth the drive out to Granger. And it drives VERY well now - oodles of power.
I'm growing more fond of the new truck, but I sure wish it was RED!
The old truck was "Red Wolf", and Kat's named this guy "Big Bad Wolf". He growls at everyone as we drive down the road.
I've upgraded the towing hitch, towing wiring, and put in a Prodigy brake controller.
I pulled the pop-up home from Leslie's for one last trip before we sell it, and couldn't even tell it was behind me. :-)

Part of a new nine vehicle set but predictably this Cargo Couriers branded 2016 Ram 2500 Flatbed has already been seen as a single too. Matchbox seemingly are more limited than Hot Wheels in what genuinely new stuff they are allowed to include in multi-sets. Mint and boxed.

Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Joey Vela assisted Community Health Center EMS with a medical call at the 200 block of Main St ( Molly’s Market) in Sparta.

Molly’s Market is a regional chain based in Apache, a city and county seat of Apache the neighboring county to the south of Hazzard Range County. Sparta is the county seat, the location of this scene. From 1920 to 2024, General Store, another supermarket-style store, was here. It was only owned by the Peters Family until Frank Peters Jr and his wife, Grace, sold it to Molly’s Market.
