You would think to save money the CA State Parks would be buying base model work trucks not SLT's but pickups from this era costed less than they do now and the SLT trim probably didn't add much to the price since they bought a bunch of these trucks at once.

In its third generation, Toyota has finally re-engineered the Tundra full-size pickup with competitive features that we have come to expect symptomatically from the Americans. But is it enough to garner even more market share from the Big 3?

Trucks are big business representing high returns and stakes for the auto brands that build them. Now in its third generation, Toyota has finally re-engineered the Tundra full-size pickup with competitive features that we have come to expect symptomatically from the Americans. But is it enough to garner market share from the Big 3? Well, Toyota invited Automotive Rhythms / Fit Fathers to Texas for technical briefings with their Tundra designers and engineers to find out. Yes, they are ready starting with power that emanates from a twin-turbo V6 generating 389-hp and 479 lb.-ft. of torque or Toyota’s powerful i-FORCE MAX hybrid twin-turbo V6 delivering 437-hp and 583 lb.-ft. of torque from 2,400 rpm. 35mm scan slightly edited for clarity. This is a 1981-1990 Dodge Power Ram 350 4x4. Not sure exactly what it was used for, too bad Ram trucks are no longer called Dodge Rams. Thanks to all of the thousands of Very Brave firefighters near Oroville who are currently putting their lives at risk fighting the worst wildfire in California history.

Aesthetically, the Tundra TRD Pro is a paragon of excellence with conspicuous TRD design statements. The pickup arrived in Incredible Hulk mode with its Army Green camo and TRD frame looking chiseled like Greek gods. The merits of the latest Tundra TRD Pro are intriguing. They include a black grille frame, a new hood scoop, revised springs, new shocks and rims, and suspension upgrades consisting of new TRD-tuned Fox 2.5” front and rear internal-bypass shocks, and an additional 1.5” of front wheel travel and 2” rear wheel travel from the springs. The TRD dual exhaust system in black is pretty throaty, and the black-highlighted LED fog lights and headlights are TRD originals. You will see TRD bolstered all over and throughout the green-machined Tundra. Speaking of which, I initially would not have considered a green pickup truck, but I enjoyed this specific hue as well as everyone else who came into contact with it.
