Here are a few pics from the annual ram assessment competition held in Strandir where farmers and laymen alike compete in assessing the breedability of rams (the people get awards from correct assessment by a specific standard, the rams themselves are not competing).

November 2016 has finally seen some newer Matchbox batches hit the shelves of ASDA which has been a bit of a relief considering they now have exclusive rights on selling this brand or at least certainly in 1/64 form. We aren't on a par with the U.S. unfortunately which means no 1971 Nissan Skylines or Volvo V60 Wagons as of yet but it does mean plenty of these very attractive 2015 Ram 1500 models. Its a brand new casting which Matchbox have thoughtfully used its well renowned National Parks colour scheme for its debut and it looks pretty damn good for it. Technically this casting is a Police vehicle which has a basic looking roof mounted lights cast into the plastic glazing and so no doubt actual Police liveries will follow soon which is good though does restrict this modern Dodge RAM to be never used in plain civilian colours. Mint and boxed.

Made some progress on the front entrance of the building. There's a few things I have to compromise on, mainly doors and windows. The front entrance is going to look a bit different then the real one mainly due to the availability of doors in the colors I want. This barred door is roughly correct except for color (I would do this in light bley if I could).

2006–2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab
The Dodge Ram was updated for the 2006 model year. One notable addition was the "Mega Cab", featuring a 6.25-foot (2 m) cargo box and 22 inches (560 mm) of extra cab space, allowing seating for six with rear recliners, a full screen mapping in-dash navigation system became an option, and the headlamps were redesigned for better performance.
For 2006, the steering wheel design was changed to one from the Dodge Dakota and Dodge Durango. Bluetooth U Connect was now available as an option, and a front facelift was given to all Ram models. SIRIUS Satellite Radio was available, as well was a rear seat DVD entertainment system with wireless headphones.
Water Pump powered by Water

I made this pump a few years ago, before I found plenty of water at a higher level, and it became redundent. It is made with 1" stock brass compression fittings, some inner tube for valves, a few nuts and bolts and some copper pipe, some of which was flattened to use for valve seats. It is held down onto some concrete embedded I-beam with exhaust pipe brackets, cushioned by inner tube. The supply pipe is 3/4", the delivery pipe 1/2" and the expansion chamber 1" diameter. There is a small amount of soldering involved. It pumped a little over 10% of the water a few dozen feet up, making it as efficient as commercial pumps. The small size works with the limited amount of water I have. The basic principle for building it came from a book, but I scaled it down, and made some changes, and avoided welding. The measurments were roughly calculated by rule of thumb: "that looks about right". In this picture the pump is disconnected from the pipes. It only cost a few GB Pounds for the bend and 'T's, the 1" pipe piece needed was recycled from a skip (dumpster).

Ram Jhula (Hindi: राम झूला) was built in 1986 over the river Ganges at “Muni Ki Reti” in Rishikesh (at the foothills of Himalayas), Uttarakhand, India. This is an iron suspension bridge with the span of 450 feet (about 140 m). This bridge is named after "Lord Rama". This is also known as "Shivananda" Jhula (or bridge).
In the Himalayas, in general the term Jhula is used to denote a hanging or cantilever bridge.

Ujjain, Ram Ghat
Ujjain, also known as Ujain, Ujjayini, Avanti, Avantika, Avantikapuri, is an ancient city situated on the eastern bank of the Kshipra River in the Malwa region of central India, in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is also known as the city of Temples.
In ancient times, the city was called Ujjayini. As mentioned in the Mahabharata epic and Buddhist literature, Ujjayini was the capital of the Avanti Kingdom. Traditionally exalted as one of the seven sacred cities (Sapta Puri) of the Hindus, Ujjain is one of the four sites that host the Kumbh Mela, a quadrennial mass pilgrimage that attracts millions of Hindu pilgrims from around the country. It is also home to the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines to the god Shiva. An ancient seat of learning, Ujjain is the place where Lord Krishna, along with Balarama and Sudama, received his education from Maharshi Sandipani.
Apart from the rich tapestry of myths and legends surrounding the city, Ujjain has stood witness to a long and distinguished history: it was home to legendary rulers including the renowned king Chandragupta II, great scholars such as Brahmagupta and Bhaskaracharya, and literary gems like Kalidasa. Since the 4th century BC, the city was considered the prime meridian by Hindu astrologers, and it was placed as the centre of the world in numerous ancient world maps. Ujjain was the capital of king Vikramaditya (102 BC - 15 AD) empire and he ruled Ujjain for 100 years.

Goebel ceramic animal figure, 'Ronnie Rambler The Rapacious Ram' oder 'Walisischer Waldwidder Werner Würmann' which seems to translate as 'Welsh forest ram Werner Würmann'. I spent three years in Wales, but never saw anything like this. Plenty of sheep though … This is part of a range of comic creatures.
