A livestock special bound for Barcaldine approaches a level crossing on the Barcaldine – Aramac Road. The train is conveying sheep in 1 NB, 1 L and 6 N wagons. The ‘captive’ ALG road wagon and BLV bring up the rear and will return to Aramac later that evening. In the early 1970s it was not unusual for two or three livestock specials to operate each month. Most ran on Sundays. Sealing of the roadway brought about the demise of the Tramway.
