I am really busy with school now (all those projects are driving me crazyyyy), so that's why I didn't post good photos yet. YET...
Anyway didn't want you guys to wait any longer (thought it's a quick shot with my phone, worst quality ever). Hope you like it! Also, I still have to make the MG's for the Sea Knight... Comments and critisism is always welcome! Enjoy ;)
A very "quick" upload of tonight's delicious dinner!
I've been sewing a project for 12 hours straight,
trying to meet a deadline.
My dear husband honored my need to create and
complemented the day with fresh flounder fillets
from the fish market and freshly picked tarragon from our garden.
Of course I had to have a little computer play before retiring.
Even used a font called "flavor" . . . corny, I know . . . tiredness brings out silliness!
I was sitting on the dock when this young lady came by to capture a photo on her phone. Naturally I just had to capture a photo of her capturing the photo on her phone.

oh, I love my dog. Have to grab envelope to get him, resting in chair across from me in early morning while I read the paper.
Quick purist version inspired by The_Lego_Guys's newest photo. The red eyes are a piece of red construction paper wedged in. What do you think?
Quick and simple. The piece of grass I photographed a few weeks ago is drying out nicely and still serves a purpose when I am short of time for photography.
Quick and dirty first piece back in Oz. It's good to be home but I miss all my homies overseas.
Love always to my RFK, TPE, FAL and Only The Best peeps. Big love to Tors, FKF, MOA UK and the Simply Rockers guys. Love also to Fuzzola, Pete and KK One.
W'sup also Seb and Bias!
I was heading past this location and decided on a quick detour as the colour and the people on top needed to be photographed!
The best way to protect yourself from the Convention fever is to enjoy what you’ve already had! ♥️♥️♥️
Before the Style Lab collection, i always wish i could see Kyori 1.0 again but after the reveal, i find that she’s not what i expected and i have a better version here already on the shelve! Quick Silver is still the best Kyori 1.0 to me, and she proves that with this ensemble from Mad To Milan Poppy. 😍😍😍

Quick little shot of one of my two newest lovelies. (Well, sort of new. I've technically had both since April. ^^; ) I'm still trying to work out just who this little one is! Part of me thinks she's a perfect fit for Addy's cousin Josette buuut... I don't know. I'm not entirely convinced yet ha ha. ;P
Hope you're all having a wonderful wednesday!
I'm not gonna lie: I've enjoyed taking the Flickr app off my phone and not feeling the pressure of trying to constantly keep up on my feed. But, I've quietly checked in at times on my laptop, favorited a few photos here and there, and then gone back to great times with the family amidst a busy season at work.
But, on the flipside, I always figured I'd post something again at some point. It was just a matter of feeling inspired to do so.
Well, that inspiration has come from two, whirlwind trips to Western New York. With me having a work-related meeting on Saturday, October 1st, followed by plans to spend the balance of the weekend doing a brief, overnight railroad photography trip with a couple old chase buddies, my wife wisely decided it was a good time to head up to Potsdam with our 4-year-old son to visit her parents for a long weekend.
With my wife and son planning to leave Thursday morning, I realized I had an unusual chance to make a quick, two-day trip before getting home in time to go to my work-related meeting on Saturday morning. A last-minute check with an old friend from seminary who lives in East Rochester, I confirmed I had a place to crash Thursday night.
So, after seeing my wife and son off on Thursday morning, I was headed west. The ultimate goal? The Falls Road out of Lockport, NY, which was a bucket list item I wanted to check. Unfortunately--thanks to CSX not dropping for them--all they did on Friday was spot cars in the yard with their RS-32 facing long-hood forward. Definitely a bummer.
What saved the trip, though, was cleaning up on the Finger Lakes Railway. I've done a little with the Finger Lakes before (including having the chance to ride a good portion of the railroad in a speeder on a NARCOA trip years ago), but I always wanted to do more. Well, this trip provided the chance.
While Friday the Finger Lakes was the backup plan, on Thursday it was the plan on the way out. I knew that Train GC-2 worked the Canandaigua line on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I also knew it generally ran against the light with leaving Geneva westbound in the morning and returning eastbound in the afternoon. But, the line turns back south on its approach to Geneva, so I figured there'd be an angle or two.
I found the eastbound return train just east of the Village of Phelps, and boy was I happy to see what the power was: Lehigh Valley-inspired U23B #2201! After getting an OK shot at one crossing, I found this spot with perfect side light just after the Carter Road grade crossing in the Town of Phelps. After quietly walking back to the car, once inside I assure you there was some celebrating!

I'd seen a small flock of Spoonbills for the first time at the end of last September, but after resting on the shore of Pauatahanui Estuary for a few days, they had disappeared as quickly as they'd arrived!
Anyway, last Sunday afternoon, after finally leaving the shell-bank where I'd found the Pied Stilts and the Dotterells, I rejoined the Boardwalk and continued my walk around the edge of the Estuary.
I didn't get very far; in fact I only got 40 metres around a sharp bend, and there on the same stretch of shoreline that they'd been on the last time I'd seen them were the Royal Spoonbills again!!!
What a surprise!!! This really was proving to be a very, very interesting day - but there was a problem. The Spoonbills were some distance from the road; photographing them was going to be - well - challenging...
Unless...
Unless I left the Boardwalk (again) and made my way along the edge of the Reeds which grew almost to the water's edge...
This seemed a great idea, so away I went...! The shoreline was a mixture of shell and mud with just enough shell to avoid my sinking too deeply into the mud...
All went well - until I reached a small "riverlet" of water draining into the estuary - and I was still 80 metres from the birds. But trust me Folks: this wasn't a stream, it wasn't even a brook. It was two centremetres deep, and about 15 centremetres across - or in other words: one long stride, and I should be across... (Note the words "should be"...).
With two moderately expensive cameras around my neck, I studied the ground on the other side of the water... steadied myself for the big step... and... stepped...
I'm tall (6 foot 4 inches), so it was reasonably easy to reach the other side - except that I under-estimated just how firm the mud and shell combination was on that other side - didn't I...!!!
As I landed on that shell / mud mixture on the other side of the water course, my left leg immediately sank deeply - very, very deeply - into very thick, very black, very gooey mud - whilst at the same time, I had to try and desperately save two moderately expensive cameras from burying themselves - Lens first - into the same quagmire!!!
Well, I'm pleased to say that I did manage to save the Cameras, but the next 'challenge' was to extract myself from the mire!!!
Eventually, with my shoe still attached to my foot, I managed to pull free, "shot" three or four frames of the Spoonbills (some of whom were looking back with looks that suggested they were thinking, "What on earth do you think you're doing???"), and then - with the Tide coming in at an alarming rate - made my way back to the safety of the Boardwalk (via a different "path"), and headed for the car - which was over a mile away!
I nearly made it - nearly - but a young woman walking towards me looked very startled at the thick layer of smelly black goo still caked to one leg, and couldn't refrain from asking what had happened...
Well... She laughed so hard that she nearly had tears rolling down her cheeks... So I guess if I made someone laugh that afternoon, things couldn't have been THAT bad - and after all: I did get the photos of the Royal Spoonbills - birds that I hadn't expected to see that afternoon - and I did save the cameras from what would have been a "fatal" mud bath...!
Feeling rather sheepish, I counted my blessings for the day - Pied Oyster Catchers, Dotterells and Royal Spoonbills; it had been a pretty good day out, all things considered...
However, believe it or not, but the day STILL wasn't quite over yet...!!! (I kid you not!!!).
Anyway, if you have the time, check out the Royal Spoonbills at:
