I am really happy with the bricks and the fit in general...now today is the scary part of adding the grout and hoping I don't wreck it! LOL
After landing back at base, 'Quid 194' heads back around Mildenhall's Southern taxiway to the 100th ARW's Eastern parking area

Spotted from near my kitchen window, this nestling and its parents were a first for me. I read they are 'introduced' here in Orange County, southern California. Since the little one was flying, I took my photos quickly and retreated back indoors.
Since the little one had flown a short distance - twice - I hoped it would make it to a nearby bush, where the parents would feed it. The next day as soon as I walked outside both of the parents were chirping and watching me from above. after walking around my yard I realized (sadly) their young one was gone.

I took a quick walk through Bundek park, hoping for some inspiration. Inspiration came, but it was short-lived - just a bunch of dry branches and a whole lot of reflections. December 2018.

This was a quick fly to Las Vegas and drive to Page before my niece wedding in Temecula, California.
An early rise at 4am at a hotel in Las vegas for a 12:30pm slot in Upper Antelope Canyon. The operator insist on their website that all MUST follow the MST (Mountain Standard Time) which was 1 hour ahead of Nevada on PST (Pacific Standard Time), so I aimed to get there at least two hours ahead to compensate for the time difference and the required 1 hour signed on before the tour.
We got there at 11:10am MST and feeling proud on arriving well early, paid my bookings, got the camera, spare batteries, SD card ready and waited for the 11:30am MST call out.
There were two clocks on the briefing area PST and MST. The guide said that we must return at 11:30am, but the MST clock is on 11:30am MST and 10:30am on PST clock. Why were they running on PST when thier website insist on following the MST? I could have spent that extra hour in bed, lurking around Vegas or breakfast before the tour.
Cheers to Bart our Navajo guide for the entertainments and showing us where to shoot, but he missed these two dogs and the faces. I'll post that later..

Just a quick pic to say hi. I'm away for a short break and I'll be back as soon as I can.
Sorry about the state of the photo. Phone selfies are really not good enough. I won't use this again.
#smalltowninertia David at home September 2016
Early Thursday morning I had a telephone call from David, his SARA audio scanner (Fundraised via social media) had ceased working.
David was beside himself with worry.
A quick telephone call to the wonderful Sight and Sound technology later and I was relayed a way to potentially fix the problem. Juggling caring chores at home I immediately headed over to David’s home on the bus.
The SARA device is a lifeline for David. Samantha, the electronic voice that reads aloud any printed material scanned has evolved into being as important, in the absence of an actual person, a companion, a voice that cuts through David’s 100% NLP (Nil Light Perception) blindness and informs hen reading bills or a newspaper and transports and soothes when reading pages of books.
Thankfully, the fix worked and in no time I had cleaned, repaired the SARA device and once again it was working perfectly and Samantha’s voice sang out. David was overjoyed.
Afterwards, David and I took the time to make some portraits together. I’ll be returning next week to work some more upon a coming update to his story of enduring blindness, alone, in 2016.

Having had a good opportunity tonight I went for a quick change. Not just the dress but the attitude. From housewife and homely to clubbing minx.

No# 1 wife has put me under house arrest !
So not being able to go race around and play
I've resorted to photographing no# 1's garden.
Notice all the bamboo sticks on the left side ?
Well a couple of months ago we went and
harvested many bamboo sticks for the
purpose of have an assortment of
snake sticks. Problem being
they all disappeared then
reappeared right here.
This is sacrilege, so to counter her move
I've now resorted to using PVC pipes ;-0
She's growing squash and string beans
which we sell in the morning markets.
Once posted I've notice the photo is
a bit blurry, could be from my meds ?
Tomorrow, which is Monday we expect
a big wind storm, might get some rain.
Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday, all
depends on transportation we are
planning another run out to see
the nuns and of course Molly
and Blondie & all the dogs.
Thank You.

Quick walk around the yard after work. -1degs.

I would have liked the moon to have been sharper but it was a bit muddy caused by the slight cloud.
The selfie stick, product of the year. Sure, it was around last year, but it really became ubiquitous in 2015.
The quick stop of a long way,
before the end of the day,
for a minute to rest,
to catch the thought...(have I done right?)
to check the compass...(direction correct?)
to sip a hot pleasure
for body of mine;
to listen to hubbub,
to be warmthed by a fire,
and to close eyes for a while...
Trying not to forget
why I am on the road,
remember the aim
of my long way.
Just the quick stop
for limbs to rest,
aware of feeling that
this is the best
place to stay.
Recall the dream
I ones seen.
Wrinkle crooked hands...
And it's time...
Now rise and go...
further, but slow
till the next
quick stop...
