Last week I made a quick trip to Whistling Gardens to see the peony collection. Although some of the flowers were starting to show some wear, we weren't disappointed with most that were still blooming. This yellow beauty was one of my favs of the day :)
like always when I make pictures. quick and dirty, afterwards I had to refire the bbq, cause it took so long. On the other side of the lake there is Russia. very glad to be there. enjoy

A shot of Times Square from our recent trip to New York City...I never get tired of taking pictures here!

Quick photosession somewhere along the west coast. Thanks to David Bush for setting up the whole shoot!
I think that this woman may have been a visitor from Europe where changing from street clothes to swimwear on the beach, complete with glimpses of nudity, seems to be quite a normal thing to do.
A quick play with my new Eye Candy Actions. I think I'm going to have fun with these. Off to play some more!
A quick stopover to check his direction. Lets see, "I came from the north and I want to go south." "Ok, just follow the S."
SEO. 26th Feb, made a quick trip out for shorties, so really chuffed with images in such a short time, Canon 500F4,7DMKII with 1.4 con,
The quick stop of a long way,
before the end of the day,
for a minute to rest,
to catch the thought...(have I done right?)
to check the compass...(direction correct?)
to sip a hot pleasure
for body of mine;
to listen to hubbub,
to be warmthed by a fire,
and to close eyes for a while...
Trying not to forget
why I am on the road,
remember the aim
of my long way.
Just the quick stop
for limbs to rest,
aware of feeling that
this is the best
place to stay.
Recall the dream
I ones seen.
Wrinkle crooked hands...
And it's time...
Now rise and go...
further, but slow
till the next
quick stop...
A quick solo mission to a local mausoleum last night for a Milky Way shot and star trail.
Thanks to everyone that gave advice on the processing, it's getting better. Need a darker location with less light pollution now.
I've put together a little comparison of a single Milky Way shot and Star Trail, head on over to my website to have a look.
Climbing over the dead in low estate, blueberries grow and brown-eyed susans are swaying. I love to see some wild remaining in any manicured place, a bit of the untamed in root. I sat on the spiny hills for a while, grazing like some bear who's glad to get what he can before winter. The birds were sure angry to see me coming around, taking their free meal away. To be fair, though, there's far more fruit on these hills than any creature could swallow, no quick harvest before half over-ripens and goes to the ants. The haze is heavy, but there's a heat that breaks almost just as blinding, sunlight sticking to my skin. I can feel that rising break about to come, the ticks getting sparser, biting insects less aggressive, peak heat finding it harder to linger. August is coming, my birth month and the mid-point of summer. There's nothing I love like the feeling of hurtling into fall.
