On 08/02/20 I headed to Derby station to see a couple of light locos. The first was DRS 57301 working the 0M59 Kilmarnock CE Sdgs to Leicester LIP move. This was unusual in that it travelled to Crewe via the WCML then across to Stoke and North Stafford Jn, but instead of going via Castle Donington (requiring no reversal), it came up to Derby and turned before heading across to Spondon to continue south. Very odd.
I think I was one of only a handful of people who figured out who she was, DC Comics speedster, Jesse Quick. This is her uniform from the "Young Justice" cartoon show possibly the Teen Titans (comic or animated show, dunno which).

UPDATE: DeAnna was featured in Uproxx's Funny, Sexy, And Awesome Cosplay of the Week (03.21.14). Yay!!! :-D
A quick macro from the front yard while the sun was still shining this afternoon; it'd been a while since I pulled out the adapter and went to town.
Even with the slight breeze I managed to capture a quick shot and am pretty pleased with the results.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

BNSF 2745 leads the Buck Local north through Louisville on a late August evening. 2745 was only on the Buck for about 3 days before being pulled off due to loading issues. Its replacement would be a Dash-840BW.
Finally moved Aspen to the barn we're boarding at, Cabra Park Stables. It's just under 5 months since we got her, and she has been a quick learner, being able to do pretty much anything with her. Well, except for picking up her feet! We have work to do with that, and also work getting her broke to ride. She's had a saddle strapped on her back, and a bit in her mouth, and it never fazed her at all. I don't think we can consider her to be feral any more!
Quick character. Colours shouldn't be this washed out but flickr keeps munching on the saturation for some reason.
Quick photo before heading to the Melbourne Gin Festival with my girlfriend on Sunday. Not sure what to call this dress(?). Bought from an opshop, it's like a dress, but the bottom bit is a skort. Do you know what it's called?
Here is Quick Curl Barbie with her original hair set. Barbie is wearing "Party Separates #7841" from 1974.
Scott Yoak aka "Scooter" and Quick Silver in a low pass at EAA Airventure last summer. The story of this beautifully restored P-51D is well worth reading. Everything on the bird has a specific meaning and the attention to detail is incredible. Beautiful plane and great people!
hulleys by High Peak Buses 5209
A bit of quick thinking meant the 13:15 ex Buxton Transpeak got covered from Ashford-in-the-Water at 13:53 with me at the helm utilising a bus from the newly repurposed Derwent Garage. As expected it turned some heads and raised some questions among passengers as to why a hulleys bus was on this route!?

Made a quick stop at Sherman Falls a few weeks ago to see the ice build-up. Just enough to provide some extra visual interest without obscuring the lower part of the falls.
