a tall lanky man
in a hat
raven-black
cocked to the right
always the right
the top hat unfolds
made of paper, blood and air
Jeremiah Quick
the hat tips
circus director extraordinaire
painted canvas
brushes the sawdust in the wind
sounds of merriment can be heard within
they come
mortals and ghosts all
snared in the
three rings thrall
blessed by the First Ladies and Gentlemen
the ones who ruled in woodland halls
before men built their terrible walls
that he might
summon all manner
of wild beauties, tame beasts
fauna and flora
for this
the show of shows
and its lord
the dead leave with something akin to a soul
while the living lose their minds fragile hold
for who could
except the dead
dare to the spectacle
of the circus
where a succubus
in a black paper top hat
cocked to the right
always the right
thrills and delights
for just one night
The Sony F5/F55 Recoil is the definitive, stable rig for the Sony F5 and F55. It places the camera on top of your shoulder so your eye can comfortably reach the Sony viewfinder. The F5/F55 Recoil includes our Sony F5/F55 Baseplate with a fixed height for these cameras when used with a follow focus or matte box. The baseplate attaches to your camera with a ¼ 20 and 3/8 16 screw and has a standard tripod mounting ¼ 20 and 3/8 16 screw holes underneath. The 12” rods running through the Recoil can be extended to hold additional accessories at the front or back of the kit. They can slide back and forth through the plate to accommodate different lens lengths by loosening the quick release ratcheting levers on the sides of the plate. Want to add a follow focus? Check out our Z-Focus!
Directly underneath the Sony F5/F55 Baseplate is the ZacutoQR Shoulder Pad. The QR Shoulder Pad puts the camera directly on top of your shoulder for balance and comfort. This more traditional set up creates a shorter and lighter kit. The QR Shoulder Pad is a completely universal curved, padded shoulder pad system. The QR Shoulder Pad is a two part system that includes the shoulder pad itself and a separate dovetail plate that screws into the bottom of your camera or baseplate just like an ordinary tripod plate. The shoulder pad is set at an angle and made of form-fitting Akton Polymer pad to settle comfortably into your shoulder. The dovetail plate comes with one (1) ¼ 20 and one (1) 3/8 16 screw in sliding tracks that allows you to position the plate at any point under your baseplate for comfort and balance. The QR Shoulder Pad attaches, positions, and detaches from the dovetail plate with a quick release lever. The dovetail plate can act as a traditional tripod plate and snap directly into a tripod, monopod, slider or other standard piece of equipment with a tripod adapter plate or quick release plate.*
The Sony F5/F55 Recoil is finished off with our double handgrips, the Zgrips V3 with articulation at the handgrips and a pivot up at the rods. The two arms quick-release off the central mount with a twist of the central propeller shaped lever for unencumbered tripod use and quick breakdown.
I reckon that these three baby barn owls,in Barrow market today, have grown by 50% in the last ten days.
