these are images of people queuing for a ride home last night. the traffic was horrendous last night which delayed the arrival of public utility vehicles that produced these long queues
There was an interminable queue at the entrance No1 at the Plitvice Lakes at the start of my second day there. Some had to wait about 1h15...
Thanks god, I bought a two-days entrance so I didn't have to wait that long.
It is still one of the most beautiful places you'll find in Croatia.
If you ever get the opportunity to go there, just go!

If I recall correctly this is one of the bus stops just outside Penneys (aka Primark in the UK and abroad) department store.
The queue to get to the door is not the end of journey, to get to the auto screens will take these people another 10/20 mins depending on the speed of the food crew

Enorme wachtrij om bij de Primar naar binnen te mogen. De rij begint al op het Spui (zie al die blauwe strepen op goede afstand), daarna ga je het hoekje om tot aan het eind van deze winkel en dan moet je via de gevel weer terug en dan eindelijk mag je naar binnen.
Iedereen staat daar heel geduldig te wachten en te keuvelen alsof dit de normaalste zaak van de wereld is.
En die arme kinderhandjes maar zweten achter de naaimachines. Primark kwam onlangs ook nog in het nieuws omdat ze bestelling die al klaar stonden voor verscheping niet meer wilde hebben maar ook niet wilde betalen. De mode verandert bij de Prima zo snel dat de kleding al uit de tijd was voordat alles in de winkel kon hangen. Ook C&A stond in hetzelfde rijtje.
Dit kan echt niet langer.

Jakarta offers diversity of food street. People patiently waiting for their turns to be served by food vendor.
Today I changed the streets used to go to work and passed the school were I grow when I was a child. They painted its walls with these curious silhouettes. I liked the machine to pay the parking zone because these silhouettes seam to be waiting to use it. I just waited for a minute to someone using the machine.
This is a feature of life during the pandemic. The queue on the left is waiting to enter the pharmacy, while the one on the right is for the B & M general store (excellent place for chocolate bars). People are told to stand two metres apart and some allow a bigger 'cordon sanitaire' still.
You shake a wooden box until a small stick pops out of a hole, which has a number on. When you get to the front of the queue, you tell the shrine maiden the number and make an offering to receive your o-mikuji (おみくじ). If it's bad, you'd best tie it to a tree so the bad luck doesn't follow you!

Our family has been in home isolation for 12 days, so today we have to have a Covid test. If negative, we will be free on Friday. This is at Indooroopilly High School where this outbreak started. This was the queue about 20 minutes before opening at 7am. We are now much closer to the testing station but we expect about an hour’s wait. Update: 8am tested and now home. Fingers crossed for a negative result. 12 August: received our negative results. 😁
This is a look at the queue for the US Capitol Building tour in Washington DC. All of the columns set up around the room give the building a confusing maze like effect.
I'm sorry to say that we were disappointed with the tour of the Capitol Building. We spent longer waiting in this room then we spent on the tour. Admittedly, the building was under construction, and still is, but we expected to see more than just one room.
I'm not sure we were ever even in the building at all. From where we exited the tour, and taking into account how little ground we covered, I don't think we ever actually left the visitor center, a large underground addition to the United States Capitol complex which serves as a gathering point for tourists and an expansion space for the US Congress.
