Vocabulaire :
Médium, statut de l’image, plagiat, allégorie, flou, glacis, couleur rompue
Références :
Luc Tuymans, Andy Warhol, Eugene Delacroix,

A series of 11 shots showing the basic stages I use to produce black and white candid portraits.
All of my work is processed using "Adobe Lightroom 3".
In reality there are about 60 steps involved in producing these shots but many of the steps are minor adjustments to small areas, so I have left them out of this series.
I have not posted this series to any groups, so they will probably only be seen by the people who follow my work.
If you are interested or have any questions just add a comment and I will try and reply.

Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence (Live in Berlin)
Depeche Mode are an English electronic band that formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex. The group consists of founders Dave Gahan (lead vocals, occasional songwriter since 2005), Martin Gore (guitar, keyboards, vocals, main songwriter since 1982), and Andy Fletcher (keyboards, bass guitar). Depeche Mode released their debut album Speak & Spell in 1981, bringing the band onto the British new wave scene. Original band member Vince Clarke (keyboards, guitar, main songwriter from 1980 to 1981), left the band after the release of the album, leaving the band as a trio to record A Broken Frame, released the following year. Fred Fowler
Decorating the Apocalypse is a playful investigation of themes related to cultural identity. Images of masks and faces function as the primary signifiers in Fowler’s work. Through sculpture, painting and printmaking, he questions the ‘mythologies’ or artificial constructs surrounding issues of identity.
Cheap, plastic, Chinese-manufactured toys are sourced locally before being deconstructed and re-configured to finally emerge – through the ancient process of casting – as intricate, bronze masks. Similarly, kitsch, wooden, ‘primitive’ masks, found in flea markets in Paris and Melbourne, are methodically vandalised, painted and re-presented as cultural artifacts of contemporary society. Complementing his sculptural work, a suite of intricate, dry-point etchings mark Fowler’s experimentation with his own ‘counter-currency’. Through these prints that assume the form of banknotes, he explores themes of monetary and cultural value, and the role of the artist as creator of value. By building up different layers of meaning into his work, Fowler creates multi-dimensional pieces that remain open to interpretation by the viewer.
Selected solo and joint exhibitions include VCA Graduate Exhibition, Melbourne, 2011; South of the Border, Lo Fi Gallery, Sydney, 2011; Larger Than Life, The Substation, Melbourne, 2011; Space Invaders, National Gallery of Australia, 2010; Surface, Michael Koro Gallery, Melbourne, 2009; The Outsiders, Kristian Pithie Gallery, Melbourne, 2009; Highland Chamber, Until Never Gallery, Melbourne, 2008; Bootlegger, Until Never Gallery, Melbourne, 2007; Refil 7, MTV Gallery, Sydney, 2007; No Comply, Federation Square, Melbourne, 2006; Productivism, Fine Art Gallery of Ballarat, 2003; Raiders of the Lost Art, A.R.T Gallery Eden, Melbourne 2001.
Fowler’s work is held in the National Gallery of Australia collection, as well as in private collections in Australia and overseas.

This is a photograph from the start of the 36th Michael Manning Memorial "Dunshaughlin 10KM" Road Race and Fun Run which took place in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, Ireland on Saturday 20th June 2015 at 19:30. This race is widely acknowledged within the Irish running community as one of the best races in Ireland. While being very well attended and competitive it is also one of the oldest 10KM races in Ireland. The numbers for this race have exceeded expectations year on year for the past number of years. In 2008 a record field of 306 took to the start line but by 2012 this number had more than doubled with 647 runners taking part. The starting numbers in 2013 topped this again at 668. Last year, 2014, the numbers rocketed to a new record of 883. This year 862 finished the race showing that the race continues to attract very substantial crowds. This year, as in previous years, the race attracted runners from not just all of Leinster but from the four corners of Ireland. Who knows but this race could reach 1,000 entrants next year. The work of the organising committee must be commended on making this event possible. The Dunshaughlin 10KM has earned it's place at the top of the pedestal of Irish running through the sheer hard work of Dunshaughlin AC over the years. Road race events do not survive on their own. There must be dedication, hard work and a development vision amongst the committee and the host club. Well done to all.

BUT..... Wait there a minute....
We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. We do not charge for our photographs. Our only "cost" is that we request that if you are using these images: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, VK.com, Vine, Meetup, Tagged, Ask.fm,etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us or acknowledge us as the original photographers.
This also extends to the use of these images for Facebook profile pictures. In these cases please make a separate wall or blog post with a link to our Flickr page. If you do not know how this should be done for Facebook or other social media please email us and we will be happy to help suggest how to link to us.
I want to download these pictures to my computer or device?
You can download this photographic image here directly to your computer or device. This version is the low resolution web-quality image. How to download will vary slight from device to device and from browser to browser. Have a look for a down-arrow symbol or the link to 'View/Download' all sizes. When you click on either of these you will be presented with the option to download the image. Remember just doing a right-click and "save target as" will not work on Flickr.
I want get full resolution, print-quality, copies of these photographs?
If you just need these photographs for online usage then they can be used directly once you respect their Creative Commons license and provide a link back to our Flickr set if you use them. For offline usage and printing all of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available free, at no cost, at full image resolution.

Many people offer payment for our photographs. As stated above we do not charge for these photographs. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the photograph(s) you request are good enough that you would consider paying for their purchase from other photographic providers or in other circumstances we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.
Let's get a bit technical: We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs
We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?
The explaination is very simple.
Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.
ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.
Above all what Creative Commons aims to do is to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/
I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.
I want to tell people about these great photographs!
Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably http://www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

A suitcase wheel? A shopping trolley wheel? Could it be anything else? What happened to it? How did it break? How did its owner feel? Upset? Angry? Indifferent? "The photograph begs a long list of questions but answers none of them. We are forced to accept what we cannot know and focus on what we can see:" a broken wheel left by the side of the road which now combines with the vehicle behind to animate this photograph. The quote is from the book Street Photography Now

Anyone know of Objective-J syntax highlighting in vi?
"... the source on github now include a vim highlight module ..."
I've found just doing what is suggested here is not enough:
- download the file as Francisco suggests
- unzip, "cd Tools/" dir
- run the shell, "sh install-tools"
- copy the objj.vim file to vim dir, "cp Tools/Editors/objj.vim /usr/share/vim/vim71/syntax/"
Problem
I found no syntax highlighting worked for ".j" files. So the problem here is no file extension recognition. If you are using gvim as I am there is also no menu item.
Add Objective-J to gvim menu
To add a menu-item in gvim for Syntax->Ne-MO->Objective J:
- "sudo vim /usr/share/vim/vim71/synmenu.vim"
add the following line.
- "an 50.70.465 &Syntax.Me-NO.Objective\ J :cal SetSyn("objj")<CR>" below the objective-C entry.
save and quit
- ":wq!"
then reload a ".j" file in gvim. If you then go:
- Syntax->Ne-MO->Objective J
highlighting for your selected Objective-J file should occur.
Objective-J auto-highlighting?
But what about auto-highlighting when you load the file? There appears to be no file associations. So:
- "sudo vim /usr/share/vim/vim7.1/filetype.vim"
In the file you will find a list of filetype associations. If you want an idea where to add the line, search for "setf ocaml" in filetype.vim. Add the line below above (alphabetical):
- """ Objective J au BufNewFile,BufRead *.j setf objj"
Save the result. You should now be able to load a file with a ".j" extension and syntax highlighting for Objective-J files works.
Result
Now you should get automatic recognition of the Objective-J files by file type ".j" and a way to set this filetype in gvim. This probably should be added by Bram or whoever does the official release of vim but for the moment this hack works for me. (Ubuntu 8.10, Vim 7.1)
before I answered the question
Mucking around with Objective-J and Cappuccino today. There's a good reason for it. Just testing at the moment. Doing so I had to find out how to get Objective-J to work with vim and in the process did a small writeup on stackoverflow for syntax highlighting in objective-j and vim. There are a few other hacks on getting Objective-J and Vim syntax highlight to work.
next day
Have my old account back with new questions ~ stackoverflow.com/users/2092/bootload thanks Jeff.

Question Mark Butterfly, This rather plain looking butterfly is a lifer for me.
This is the light phase of the Question Mark, so the signature Question Mark in the back wing, from which it gets its name and is so visible in the dark phase is very difficult to see. Question marks are a moderately common woodland butterfly.
They are definitely the most difficult butterflies to photograph that I have ever encountered, Firstly they do not feed on nectar so they do not visit flowers, secondly they live on the edge of woods and will retreat ligh into the trees if disturbed, thirdly they are extremely skittish - and generally will not let a person get closer than ten or twently feet. Lastly they only sit for a few seconds before they flit away. So although I have seen Question Marks on several occasions, I have never even come close to getting a shot until this.- next time I get the spectacular black orange and violet upper wing.
Question Marks are a member of the Comma family of forest butterflies.
