Taken on Friday at UW-Milwaukee. I was chilling outside the Music Building while my sister took a Music Theory exam.
No idea what it's for, but nonetheless it's catchy.
I love the 'we' instead of 'you.' It sounds so united.
It was a gorgeous day. It wasn't cold, or warm. Happily in the middle. I love weather like that. Today however is quite the opposite. It is alternating between rain & snow. Just stick with either winter or spring! :P
Everywhere I look I see things to photograph... I am contemplating getting a pro account & starting a 365. What do you think?

The Santa Maria da Feira Castle was built in the 11th century on the site of a pagan sanctuary dedicated to the god Bandeveluco-Toiraeco.
From 1117, one of the most important fairs in Portugal took place here, and the locality and castle had their names derived from this fair.
Santa Maria da Feira's castle is an emblematic military work of the medieval Portuguese architecture. After 1448, the castle became the property of the nobleman Fernão Pereira that ordered some repair and reconstruction works, these works granted its architectural character with its four towers topped with a confection of domes.
Notwithstanding these renovation works the castle never lost its early medieval character. After 1708, the Santa Maria da Feira's castle was the scene of a terrible fire which marked the beginning of a long fall into decay and ruin. The castle was restored in 1877 and after 1908. Today it's an impressive fortification built with massive blocks of blue-grey stone. Its square keep and four squat towers dominate the landscape.

Depeche Mode are an English electronic band that formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex. The group consists of founders Dave Gahan (lead vocals, occasional songwriter since 2005), Martin Gore (guitar, keyboards, vocals, main songwriter since 1982), and Andy Fletcher (keyboards, bass guitar). Depeche Mode released their debut album Speak & Spell in 1981, bringing the band onto the British new wave scene. Original band member Vince Clarke (keyboards, guitar, main songwriter from 1980 to 1981), left the band after the release of the album, leaving the band as a trio to record A Broken Frame, released the following year. Gore took over the lead songwriting duties and, later in 1982, Alan Wilder (keyboards, drums, bass guitar, occasional songwriter) officially joined the band to fill Clarke's spot, establishing a line up that would continue for the next 13 years. Depeche Mode have been a trio again since 1995, when Wilder left.

Both Question Mark and Comma butterflies belong to the bush-footed family and share many similarities, but the little white marking shown above on it's hind wing differentiates the two...this Question Mark has a two part mark, resembling a question mark, while the Comma butterfly has a wider, single curved mark, resembling a comma...Mother Nature's inventive use of punctuation! I love those toy-like white legs which look screwed on, as well...LOL
Oh, one last note on these guys...because of the shape of their wings, they are also sometimes called 'angelwings'...I think that's so appropriate!

Première participation du Wapikoni mobile à l’Instance permanente sur les questions autochtones de l’ONU
Mercredi le 29 mai 2013, le Wapikoni mobile fera escale dans la grande ville américaine de New York afin de participer à la 12e session de l’Instance permanente sur les questions autochtones. Cet événement qui se déroule du 20 au 31 mai au siège social des Nations Unies a pour mandat de discuter des questions autochtones liées au développement économique et social ainsi qu’à la culture, l’environnement, l’éducation, la santé et les droits de l’homme.
Reconnu internationalement pour sa méthodologie en formation cinématographique et comme projet d’intervention et de développement des compétences auprès des jeunes des Premières Nations au Québec, le Wapikoni mobile a été invité à participer à cet événement prestigieux qui rassemble les peuples autochtones du monde entier. Pour la première fois, une délégation du Wapikoni mobile aura l’opportunité de participer aux nombreuses activités de l’Instance, ainsi qu’à filmer les moments forts grâce à l’obtention d’une accréditation média accordée par l’ONU.
De plus, les visiteurs et le public en général seront conviés à visiter notre fameux studio mobile et à visionner une sélection de courts métrages réalisés par les jeunes des Premières Nations dans le « Press island » situé sur la 1e avenue et la 46e rue à New York, du 29 mai au 31 mai.
Honoré en décembre 2012 par le Plural+ du United Nations Alliance of Civilizations(UNAOC) pour l’ensemble de son œuvre cinématographique, le Wapikoni mobile s’impose de plus en plus comme un acteur incontournable de la cinématographie contemporaine des Premières Nations.
Avoir un enfant pose questions, parfois les plus intimes. Dès le début, avec le test de grossesse, puis avec l ‘écographie, la certitude que “quelqu’un est là” nous amène à sentir quelque chose d immense et d’inconnu. Ce sentiment nous effraie, nous fait prendre conscience de la fragilité et de la responsabilité de cette nouvelle vie.
Nous n’avons pas de réponses, mais un petit coeur qui bat, une partie de nous, de nos craintes et de nos espoirs.
Tener un hijo nos cuestiona, a veces en lo mas profundo. Desde el comienzo con el test de embarazo y luego con la ecografía, la certeza de que alguien esta ahí nos lleva a sentir algo inmenso y desconocido. Un sentimiento que nos asusta, que nos hace tomar conciencia de la fragilidad y de la responsabilidad de esta nueva vida.
