New Quay is a very small town in Ceredigion Wales, a charming place and well known as a great place to see the local pod of dolphins, which I did.
The image has been done using layers and a couple of editing programs.
Mermaid Quay Cardiff ... a couple of days away from base to wind down from parental and grandkid duties.
The skies broke at around 3pm to provide a startling amount of heat and sunshine...it’s Wales for crissakes, it’s supposed to be wall to wall rain!
It’s the first panorama I’ve done with the iPhone ... not too shabby.
Erin Basin, Salford Quays
Another impromptu trip down to the Quays last week with Muddy Boots UK for sunset... only we missed it. While setting up on MediaCity Bridge we bumped into fellow Flickrite Stephen Price a.k.a. saprice_1 and spent most of the time chatting. It was only when Stephen showed me a couple of his images that I realised I follow him and he me on Flickr... small world!
Not wanting to come away empty handed Muddy and I headed off to a part of the Quays often overlooked - the other side of the Detroit Bridge and the Erin Basin. First time I've shot this direction and a first for Bupa Place.
Princes Quay is a shopping centre in the heart of Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The centre is unusual in that it is built on stilts over Prince's Dock after which it is named. It was opened in 1991.

The town quay has long been the official site for imported and exported goods to and from Fowey. It was the site of the Havener's Court in the medieval period. This was an office created by the Black Prince to collect dues from shipping and to settle maritime disputes. In later centuries it became the base for the collection of the harbour dues. The Town Hall was built in 1785, incorporating part of the 15th century Guild Hall and underneath was a meat and fish market. Under the King of Prussia pub on the quay was the butter market. On the wall of this quay is an inscribed plaque commemorating over 1,000 Americans who embarked for Normandy in June 1944, having been based in Fowey.
A grey and stormy day over the beautiful old traditional ex fisherman cottages at Mudeford Quay Christchurch Dorset. Built around the 1940's.
A long exposure looking across the River Wear at Sunderland towards the Fish Quay and Hendon behind.
Weather grim again yesterday on the South Coast of the UK so the camera stayed in the bag again, so I have posted another image from the sunset at Bosham, West Sussex taken back in January this year showing the quay & boathouse!
The weather forecast is looking ok for sunset today so hoping to return to Bosham if the wind speed stays low so praying this will be the case!
0.8 second exposure using a Lee 0.6 ND grad filter.
Thanks for any comments you may wish to leave.
Ledeganckkaai, Antwerpen, België.
The actual work on the wharves just started with the stabilization of the quay wall. The whole project will be done in phases spread over a period of about 15 years.
If you fancy a waterside home with a mooring, close to the centre of Christchurch with views over the River Stour and Avon you could do worse than a house at this new development! They certainly caught our eye, but at over a million pounds we decided to pass!
Looking across Traeth y Dolau (Dolau Beach) to the sun setting behind the headland. A 103 second exposure.

According to Wikipedia:
Exeter Quay, also known as Exeter Quayside, is a part of the city of Exeter next to the River Exe and the Exeter Ship Canal. It was first used as a port in prehistoric times when a sandstone ledge was used to unload the ships of overseas traders. However, by 1381 the Countess Weir had blocked the river to shipping. In 1566 a canal was completed to provide access for ships. Over time the number of ships using the quayside increased and so the quay was expanded in the late 17th century. Further expansion occurred in 1830 when a new canal basin was dug. However, in 1840 the railways reached Exeter and the shipping began to decline. No longer used for shipping, the quayside is now mostly used for leisure included in the links below]
