The Village (formerly the Olympic Village) has some interesting public art and/or support structures.
Petronas is investing in a LNG (Natural Gas) and our slightly nutty premier thinks that this is a good thing. Claims that it will make the province billions. It also will have liquid gas tankers plying the coastal water,
Yep, here it is is - the Bentley SUV, the Bentayga. Rather ungainly looking too. I particular like the weird lights next to the headlights - illuminating things at 45 degree angle.
Dan brought a 24x36 inch print in brilliant colour to Aphrodites. It was a shot of one of the fireboats. It was a Cosco print and very well done..
... as seen on late winter cross country skiing trip.

Henning and Cradoc trying to figure out their I-Phone exposure metering system. Barry wasn't there, too bad as he has at least 4 different metering options on his. I just guessed, 1/60s and f1.4 and that seemed to work.
I think I will leave mine to do what it does best - grow and then be cut off. Never associated spring with hair fashions anyway .
The duck pond at Jericho is busy. The guys are trying to impress the ladies - and they are pretty well ignoring them.
Large - and somewhat screaming ads on a van. So if you don't love food - you can take offence. Catering service for the foodie among us. Eating as a hobby falls into the same category as shopping as a hobby!
They are coming out now - in anticipation of next week-end All British Field Meet at Van Dusen Garden. 6-700 british cars show up - scattered across the green lawns of the Gardens' Everything from vintage Austin Baby 7's to the classic Jag's, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin. Good photo op too if you like cars.
The "grassy knoll" on Granville Island. I had a roll of Legacy Pro loaded in a Nikon cassette in the F with the 21mm f4.0 on it - and decided to finish it off. I want to "clear" the 400 iso films out of my Nikon re-loadables and spool up some Orwo UN 54 for the summer. Optimistic maybe - but statistically the sun will shine some time - though if it will be enough for 70+ rolls remains to be seen.
The "duck pond" - mainly occupied by Canada Geese. Supposedly they can shut down the blood flow to the feet and don't feel the cold - standing in water barely above freezing.
This where having up to 1/8000 available helps if you want to shoot wide open without filters.
Not hard to see where I placed the focus. The F6 screen was the test really with manual focus, performed well.

Melvyn and Michael discussing the state of art sales - and or some optical thing. The usual post Zen breakfast discussion. If it is raining it is usually short - but a sunny, warm Friday can have us hanging out there for 1/2 hour or more.
There are 8 suits in the building we live in - and I am the only newspaper subscriber! I still can't work my way around reading a paper on screen and having morning coffee!
90 mm Schneider lens at f8.0. No filter. Toyo 45A field camera. 4x5 Adox CHS 100 at 100 EI developed in Pyrocat HD, 8 minutes at 20 C. One of a series taken around the Kaipara Harbour, Northland New Zealand.
The slight "compression" of the 90mm really make the cherry trees look covered in blooms. We are still waiting for ours on Yew street. They are last of them - maybe at the end of the month.
