Pyrocat semistand 1hour

I was tidying up, another poor shooting day, and decided the F100 han't had a run out for a while. Ridiculously inexpensive these days for a cracking camera.

Photographed June 2020 / Praktica IV 35MM SLR Film Camera converted to Square Format with Pentax SMC Takumar 24mm/3.5 lens. The film was Kentmere 400 bulk stock metered ASA 200 developed in sodium carbonate version PYROCAT-HD with added 4-aminophenol hydrochloride (PAP.HCl). 2.5ml A + 25ml B + 0.05g PAP.HCl > 300ml, 7min, 20*C).

Start with the one I'm starting to fall in love with Kodak Tri X.

For sure there's some Tri X factor involved!

These wer adjacent to the oaks and I liked the shapes.

Design that will slice your ankles if you are not careful! Looks interesting though - like a scoop of a front-end loader.

Image was cropped from full frame to 16:9 to mask out a parked car. (I had lined up the photograph when a car reversed into the right hand part of the frame just at the very moment the pedestrians walked into the light...this sort of thing happens a lot; a hazard of street photography.

I see No.10 claimed the middle ground.

After my slight mistake with the bellows on my Walker SF45 I took my latest aquisition a Canham Metal MQC 5x7 back to Venford to try to capture the spillways and stilling pools with a wide angle lens. I used a Schneider 75mm f5.6 Super Angulon MC at f32 and was pleasantly surprised to discover that it very nearly covers all the frame with just a small amount of vignetting in the corners. At least if I ever buy a 6x17 back I know it should cover well.

This was as close as I could get without getting my feet wet and am quite pleased with the result.

Exposure was 1/2 sec at f32 (min marked aperture on that lens) on 5"x7" Adox 25

This was my first attempt at developing my Adox 25 film in Pyrocat HD which I made up from individual chemicals this morning as per the directions on Sandy Kings blog. I was unsure of the developing time so used 7.5 minutes at 24° C.

For the past 13 years, there has been a fantastic, Nature photography focused contest down in Hocking Hills, OH called Shoot the Hills.

www.shootthehills.com/aws/FHHSP/pt/sp/shootthehills

Heading down there on behalf of LumoPro to do a presentation on macro photography, I found some free time to shoot some large format. Even though it was early morning, there was still quite a bit of contrast to the scene, and I think the the combination of FP4+ and the new spot meter handled it very well!

Bottom line, being less than an hour drive from Columbus, I need to shoot down here much, much more!
