Ascending the Pyramid of the Sun in Mexico

Two entrances lead to the burial chamber; one is located 11.54 m up the northern face of the pyramid, and the other at the base of the pyramid on the same axis. I think, that is what is seen here.

The great pyramid of Khufu (or Cheops in Greek)

One of the world’s most fascinating ghost towns, according to National Geographic. Pyramiden is only accessible by helicopter, 4 hour boat ride or snowmobile from Longyearbyen.

Pyramiden was founded by Sweden in 1910 and sold to the Soviet Union in 1927. In the 1980s, the mining community had a population of more than 1,000. It is named after the pyramid-shaped mountain of the same name nearby. Pyramiden is now mostly visited by seagulls, polar foxes and, not infrequently, polar bears.

View of the northwestern corner of Sneferu's Bent Pyramid. in the lower centre of the Northern face's length can be seen the, modern, stairs that lead up to one of the two entrances to this tomb; the other being higher up in the centre of the western face. At this angle it is easy to see how the pyramid got its name.

On the Gisa plateau there are 3 main pyramids. They date back 5,000 years and were built for 3 generations of the same family, grandfather - Khufu, father - Khafre and son - Menkaure. There are also several smaller pyramids for the wives and other relatives of the kings.
