The glass pyramid in the Louvre courtyard was built from 1985 to 1989 and serves as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum in the French capital Paris
The Egyptian pyramids are ancient masonry structures located in Egypt. Most were built as tombs for the country's pharaohs and their consorts during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods.
The most famous Egyptian pyramids are those found at Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo. Several of the Giza pyramids are counted among the largest structures ever built. The Pyramid of Khufu is the largest Egyptian pyramid. It is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still in existence.*

A52 The Chain Pyramidal Orchid...the population seems to have made some recovery after a tractor churned up the verge on this PROTECTED area a few years ago. Nowhere near as many orchids as there used to be though...
Not very much is understood about the Cheops Pyramid. This pyramid was robbed long before archeologists knew about it. Anything about King Cheops was taken when the tomb was robbed. King Cheops (also known as Kufu) was believed to have been the ruler of a very advanced group. He was probably very rich and well respected. Archeologists know this because his pyramid was so big.
King Cheops was buried alone in his big pyramid. His wives were probably buried in three smaller pyramids nearby. King Cheops’ Pyramid was probably built between 2589-2566 BC. It supposedly took over 2,300,000 giant stone blocks to make the Cheops Pyramid. Each stone block weighed over 2.5 tons. Researchers think it must have taken over 100,000 men to build the Cheops Pyramid.

I'm building a pyramid structure you'll be able to see from space.
The site will be able to self generate all the materials I'll need to build and reach the sky.

The Scenic Isle of Pyramid Lake
Pyramid Island is a small, iconic island located in Pyramid Lake, within Jasper National Park (Canadian Rockies, Alberta). It is renowned for its unparalleled view of Pyramid Mountain, the distinctive peak that dominates the Jasper skyline.
Picture-Perfect Views: The island is a quintessential photo spot, particularly for capturing the reflection of the mountain on the lake's tranquil waters.
Easy Access: It is connected to the shore via a picturesque wooden footbridge, making it easily accessible to visitors of all ages.
Heritage and Uses: The island features a rustic shelter built in 1933, ideal for picnics. The location is also very popular for weddings and for viewing the Northern Lights due to the park's "Dark Sky Preserve" status.
This monochrome image is another long exposure view from the beach at Sango Sands, Durness. The white halo around the pyramid is sea spray. It was breezy when we arrived, and as the afternoon tide ebbed, the wind and sea increased in intensity. Just spectacular.
Sango Sands Beach is a small sandy cove with scattered rocky outcrops that is a photographer's paradise as the tide recedes, exposing more and more rocks further down the beach. This image gives a pleasing effect with the wash of the waves up and down this part of the beach.
Durness (Scottish Gaelic: Diùranais) is a village and civil parish in the north-west Highlands of Scotland. It lies on the north coast of the country in the traditional county of Sutherland around 190 km north of Inverness. The area is remote and the parish is huge and sparsely populated covering an area from east of Loch Eriboll to Cape Wrath, the most north-westerly point of the Scottish mainland.
Hard to believe, but I just wasn't in a fency mood today. I can't remember the last time that happened. So it's another landscape, sizzling fresh off the grill.
Pairs nicely with our house red. Go easy on the salt. The band is really in top form tonight, would you not agree?

Grand Louvre Pyramids
The Louvre Pyramid is constructed from large glass and metal and the pyramid was designed by the Chinese-American architect I. M. Pei. The large pyramid is surrounded by three smaller pyramids, in the main courtyard of the Louvre Palace, Paris. The main entrance to the Louvre Museum is in the large pyramid. Since its completion in 1989 it has become a landmark of the city of Paris.
The structure has a height of 21.6 metres (71 ft) and it’s square base has sides of 34 metres (112 ft) with a base surface area of 1,000 square metres (11,000 sq ft). It is build up of 603 rhombus-shaped and 70 triangular glass segments. The pyramid structure was engineered by Nicolet Chartrand Knoll Ltd. of Montreal together with Rice Francis Ritchie of Paris.
In the same year the Louvre Pyramid opened, architect I. M. Pei used large glass pyramids in the design of the roofs of the IBM Somers Office Complex in Westchester County, New York. He also returned to the glass pyramid concept again at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, which was opened in 1995.

The largest Egyptian pyramid. It served as the tomb of pharaoh Khufu, who ruled during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom. Built c. 2600 BC. There are three known chambers inside of the Great Pyramid. The lowest was cut into the bedrock, upon which the pyramid was built, but remained unfinished. The so-called Queen's Chamber and King's Chamber, which contain a granite sarcophagus, are above ground, within the pyramid structure.
